SERVICE BULLETIN: Embedded Map GPS Download & Update Procedure for 10.25" Display

My battery is the original on my 2023.
A charger that has over 2A and a maintain mode works the best to supply a consistent voltage like the Budds system. If the voltage drops below the required setpoint it will delay the download. The dongle works way better at speeding up the updates. For those of you that installed the latest update, and the gauge still shows updates required. Once that disappears you will have to redownload the maps. My dealer was able to get rid of it by hooking up to their wifi, budds showed everything was up to date.

Nevermind, it finally came back to life and I have the "maps" avail for download now in the dash.......... why is this SOOOOOOOOOOO slow... do not blame it on my internet or wifi.. I parked my truck 20 feet from the room in my house that has the wifi router. I get 300mbps over wifi to my phone. the sled must be getting like 1mbps.
Yes, it is very slow.

The original battery in these sleds just doesn't have much longevity. I limped mine through the end of last season with the intent of installing a new one for this season. You should start this process with verifying your battery is good and fully charged. I was successful after installing a new full charged battery, applying a battery tender for increase assurance and intently monitoring the gauge to keep it active. It took me about 20 -25 minutes to download the updated software and 10 minutes or so to install it. After installation you have to download your desired regional maps.

I managed to eventually get the update to install, and got both the oregon and idaho maps downloaded.

But @christopher has a good point. lol what battery should I get? this one is titts up after a year. wont hold a charge ... but all it needs to do is run the gauge... doesn't need to be doing anything else.

Oh also.. yep mine says update ready but i already have it....what is up with that? I don't really care that much at this point tif its telling me i need to update to a thing its already updated too. seems like a bug.

It is located behind the recoil panel.Take the panel off and it is just above the recoil handle.Don’t know which pins you jump.Loaded mine with a battery tender and made sure the guage didn’t cancel out

Will the trail maps load when the trails open? I thought that was how it worked with phone map app brp go.

yes, the gauges have to stay on longer than they will without the dongle. the gauge update was pretty quick but holy cow the maps took like 30 minutes

Exactly, that prevents the download from being interrupted, unless someone reports that this glitch happens with the budds or a dongle.
