SERVICE BULLETIN: Embedded Map GPS Download & Update Procedure for 10.25" Display

Hook to a battery tender , let it get a full charge, have a solid WiFi connection, once it starts loading watch the screen,it will tell you in 3 seconds to shutdown ,just touch the screen and it will keep going, may have to do this a few times.Turn off the hand warmers on display before trying to load GPS.Make sure headlight is on low ,it will go out after a little bit

I have 2 sleds with the big screen. I got one updated after several tries. It is very frustrating having less than 3 seconds to tap the screen. If you miss it, you have to start over. Would be great to have the timeout at least 30 seconds.

So stand right next to it for 30 minutes or so, and don't get distracted.

The second sled is proving impossibile. It says the latest 3.0.1 is installed..., but also says it needs to install the same version. I go through the process, downloads the same software again, it reboots, but it always says I need to update. Also, my battery is on a charger and at 100% and it will usually say "not enough voltage", when it is over 14 volts.

What do you mean by this? mine just randomly shuts off. is there some indicator i'm missing? i even tried tapping the button every 10 seconds... still shut itsellf off

No clue how big the software update is, or the size of the map downloads.
The download is dependent on the speed of your network.
Push the shot button, if you didn’t start the sled, don’t tap the screen, you will have to stare at the screen or you will miss the screen shutdown warning.

Finally downloaded, then installed, then it said it was restarting. been stuck on a fully lit screen with nothing on it for 20 minutes. um... lol

Nevermind, it finally came back to life and I have the "maps" avail for download now in the dash.......... why is this SOOOOOOOOOOO slow... do not blame it on my internet or wifi.. I parked my truck 20 feet from the room in my house that has the wifi router. I get 300mbps over wifi to my phone. the sled must be getting like 1mbps.

There is a small warning, upper right, that gives you a very fast 3 second countdown before shutting down. I swear it is less than 3 seconds, and if you blink, you will miss it.

It takes alot of power to keep that gauge lit up, and downloads need a certain amount of voltage.

Very true. The sled I got working I put a new battery in. The one that is having issues has a 1 year old battery. Maybe that is the issue.

Even with a large 10A battery charger on it, 100% green, still will say "not enough voltage".
