The dealer got mine figured out, update message is no longer there. I believe its not having the dongle when doing these updates at home, no word on the boost gauge, I am not holding my breath that it will work.

I used the dongle and it still did not go away. Sled is at the dealer as we speak to try to make the GPS work.

Humm, interesting. yours is the first I heard of that did that without a dongle or being hooked up to a budds. So much for that theory.

Well so far I am really happy with the update, this is the gauge I have been waiting for. Download your riding areas into the gauge, and they seem to load and update without being hooked to any cell or network at all. I made sure the gauge was disconnected from wifi before I started looking around in the map. You need to go to the map manager to download the map.

So you can add GPX files to your BRP map?

There is area maps to download that BRP provides. If I want to ride a different province or state, that map needs to be pre downloaded.

The GPS module is on backorder. for who knows how long I have one ordered. but should I update my firmware now or just wait?

I was able to get the updated software version downloaded and installed this weekend with a little patience. I had to keep tapping the screen to keep it active as I didn't have a dongle/OTA tool. It took about 20 minutes to download the new software and another 10 to installed it. After installing and rebooting the updated software version, it no longer showed the need to update the software (as was noted earlier in this chain).

After downloading the maps of areas you want,how do you bring h to hem up on the screen?You don’t have to be in that area of the map to look at do you?

Where should I look to see how this works?When the GPS appears and you zoom in and out I see the different states but can’t figure out how you zoom into an area to see the maps from that area .

Trying to update mine, it says "Update available, go to preferences to install update" uh that's where I am??????????

nevermind after restarting it a few times it gave me a download link. but sled turns off even if i run it while its downloading. Dealership didn't have any of the dongles said they were backordered.

Its now on battery tender optimate lithium. etc.... apparently my battery is just hosed after sitting this summer. its in "save mode". even still i tried to update it with sled running and sled turned off way before it overheated and update was like barley 25% downloaded. How big is this update? I have wifi 6....and parked my truck like 25 feet from my router.
