Rudes 2005 snowhawk build

the high spot would be in the center in between the 2 heat exchangers on my 600. or do they go onthe out side by the frame? and how do you glue them? i thought they would be peal and stick, but they are not.

i dont want to mess this up on a $500+ tank and since it was the last one Boivin had, i cant get another

"nice 07' TLK" See the weld repair ^^^^.
Rubber should go the same as original tank on the exchangers, pastic cuts where it angles.

That's completely stock ! "07 and a half" as you say ! :face-icon-small-ton

By the way, here's how the rubbers should go. This is the service bulletin everybody were supposed to get on their 800. I'd say put them where the tank touches the rad, that's all. Now if the rubbers they provided you are not sticky, I'd suggest double sided tape, you can get that at Canadian Tire, it's the only way I can see that these would hold. Mine kept walking to the sides and I ended up using Duck Tape. 4-5 layers thick. Did the job ok but didn't look too good. And they had a 10 ride lifetime.

And you guys really have to show me how to put big pictures  ... Getting close to not being able to attach any more...:(

cooling

I rode later last spring, mid 40s temp. very icy trails to good stuff and just used the spring style ice scratchers to keep things cool. works very well. I don't think you have a cooling issue unless your motor is a high strung mod.

new parts!!

ok guys! went to a swap meet today and picked up some good deals. got a TRA3 and a team roller TSS_004 the team was off a 2007 440, not sure if i will have to change the internals or not. he said he had it on a 800 for a bit and that it hit pretty hard. the tra3 has a bit of dammage on the outside housing, wont effect the belt, but not sure if it will through the ballance off at high RPMS ( look at 3rd pic to see ) wanted to pick up a RK TEC head and 2 sets of pistons and Gasket and spring for the secondary but dident have the cash. to bad though, could have got everything for $700 One set of pistons were brand new and the kit had maybe 10 hours on it as the owner said ( if that was true )

you guys think this TRA3 will be ok? (3rd pic)

Clutches

The primary will probobly be alright because you never get a tra to go to full shift anyways. they will usually run the belt up to about 1/2" from the top edge. The team secondary uses an encapsulated roller system, you will only get a hair of movement out of it until the roller hits the back side of the ramp. Did you get my email?

54-42.31 / 56-44.31 is not a bad Helix to have for trail riding actually. (that means the helix starts at 56 degrees and progressively ramps down to 44 within 0.310" then straight 44 'til the end) The 54-42.31 should be a very good starting point for a big guy like you Rude.

Seems a bit steep to me for mountain use but should be good for Ontario trail riding conditions.

Tra3 doesn't look too bad to me. I'd have her rebalanced before the season though.

nice feeling when my chest hit the handelbar :) phuu..

ok guys! im pissed off. in the process of trying to reconect my engine mount plate to my engine, i striped 2 of the holes in my engine!
fffffffffffffaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacccccccccccckkkkkkkkk!!!!!

Rude get a buddy to come over and help. First set your motor on its back so the plate is facing you. Then take two huge pair of channel locks and pinch both sides of the washers and smash the rubber biscuit with the bolt already in the hole. Then start the threads make sure you have about a 1/4 inch of the bolt in before starting any others. Hope this helps you out and theres probly an easyier way but thats how I did mine.

thanks for the input! you can also heat the rubber gromets in the toster oven! im gonna have to get somebody to retap 2 of the holes in my block. this is just a real pain in the arse!

now i snaped the head off the bolt that connects the swing arms to the rails!
i dont knowwhat im gonna do about this! i cant get the outher one out too. it seems like its sezed. things are gloing to shat for me and my build. i feel like killin someone
