Rudes 2005 snowhawk build

rude, i think you need a tork rench....take a deep breath and take it easy, focus my friend.enjoy the process through good times and bad.it will be so worth it in the end! you still got time,no rush

thinking back 5 years...

i had the same issue.1 bolt broke off and the other wouldnt come out because the shaft kept spinning. i cut the head off the other one to remove shaft and put in vise and drilled them out and put new longer bolts in. i didnt use a tork wench but im only 1/2 the size of you and tony and mikey. so you big guys might need to use proper tork specs...lol

Saturday

I put some scratches all over that new YZ450, now I want/have to keep it.

When we stopped and took a break from the muck we were steaming and you could see your breath.

There were several clifftop view points and the mountain peaks in the distance were salted white.

I think Rude will get rideable snow down low before the Northwest does up high though. Better hurry Jer!

ok! here we go. got my engine in today and figured out 90% of the wireing. got my harness put all back togeather. just waiting on some custom parts from Sleder2 and TLKDPRO

the last one just looked cool so i wanted to post it.

tomarrow i will be puting my skid back togather after giving it a full over haul and polishing my rails. wish i could get them more shinny.

Hey bud, for some polishing, take some 120 grit wet sand paper, dip it in some water and sand the rails. Then hit it with some polishing compound. if you want a mirror finish after to 120 sand again with some 400 grit then polish.

Are you using some kind of polishing compound, like Flitz or Mothers? You should be able to make those rails almost mirror finish.

i did a wet sand with 1000grit then use extra fine steel wool couldent get it any better

Your starting off a bit to fine.. go down to a rougher grit..320 and go finer with each grit up to 2000+ the finer the better.. then buff with a good compound.. its a ton of work and not worth it in my opinion..Blings for posers....

1000, or 2000. I would only use that fine for paint. I have used 120 (on aluminum)without water and then buffed with Flitz and ended up with a SHINY finish.

Its all a mater of expectations..2 to 4K will give you a mirror..
but if you dont start rough enough to get a good base your totally wasting your time..
