Pro Rmk big bores?

The aftermarket cylinder big bore kits cost 3 times the price of our kit...So the price difference is substantial.

Is there a big performance difference?? I think that depends.. Best option is to go ride with all of them and make that determination for yourself.

looks like $2500 ish by the time you get the fuel controler with a stock pipe
not sure if there's a slp sinlge pipe version ?
rkt is less expencive than bikeman by $500 +/-
the 858 is intriguing wish i could ride one to compare

X2...the price point of RK's kit is very reasonable, especially if it performs.

I'd also love to see a side by side comparison, stock '13 vs 858 equipped '13

the 858 is right around 2000 for everything

the 860 is at least 3000, because BMP requires you to use their pipe, etc...

I'm very interested in this kit. I have a 2012 turbo and now i just bought a 2013 800pro RMK... I just want a little more than stock and have the stock look. Just want a very reliable sled for the mountians but don't want a turbo. I'm like everyone else would like to see a comparision between stock and 858.

Do you have a complete kit there, or do i need to send you my cylinders and water cover there, and what would be the turn around time.

I can you this about my 2013 with RKT drop in piston and head, SLP Pipe, and PCV with stage 4 mapping from SLP will beat a stage 4 SLP hands down.

Are we comparing Apples to Apples here. Are these other kits a true big bore.

Because at the price why are we not seeing more of them out there? It would be fun to throw a leg over one!

I want to know the difference between 858/860 and the 900. ANYBODY KNOW ???

I've been leaning towards the 900 for awhile. I just ordered the SLP pipe/can, pcv, carls clutch, intake, motor mounts etc. . next thing is sending the upper case.

I did slp stage 3 last year on the 12 and thought it was ok but wanted more power..

....Hoping there's a huge gain with Carls 900 .....

Ckale
i thought it was $2,050 with cheater head and $2,150 with rkt head
plus fuel controler :face-icon-small-con

if your getting it for $2,000 thats a good price

RTK, Im a little lost. How can your big bore kit be a true big bore kit? If you are useing the stock 800 cylinders. A big bore IMO is bigger jugs and pistons. Am I missing something on your page?

Carl's 900 is a complete top end, and upper case porting to fit the bigger cylinders. You will get two new cylinders not the mono cylinder bored out, so you don't have a wall thichness probelm. The only thing that is really left from your stock motor is the lower case, and the Crank.
YOu have a big cost out of the way already by buying those aftermarket goodies. Carl's price includes all of those things. Your in it a chunk already.

He us using the stock jugs and boring them out with porting and plating for $1,125

Pistons, head, & Domes = $800 (i think)

Valve mod = $50

and a couple other things plus you need fuel controller.

We take the stock cylinders, Bore them out to a larger size, perform our porting on them, then have them NikaSil plated..
So, the bore size is defintely increased, porting is drastically changed, Piston is completely different, and plating is fresh and new.

We do hundreds of big bores every year on engines. Not one of these requires any aftermarket cylinder.

Our 925 Cat big bore holds the HP record at Dyno Tech for the most HP on pump gas and it uses the stock cylinder and same process we use on the Pro 858 Big Bore.

As for how it compares to a stock engine.. there is absolutely no comparision.. As for how it compares to the aftermarket cylinder big bores... Come see for yourself..I think you will be surprised..:face-icon-small-win Oh Ya, we designed it to run with the stock exhaust.... So, the cost for this IMPRESSIVE kit is VERY affordable.. No need to purchase all these extra "goodies" to make it perform.. Just the kit and the fuel control box of your choice and you are out shredding... The 858 is literally 1/3 the price of the aftermarket cylinder big bores...

As for how it compares to a XXX Stage X kits... Many reports of the drop in kit out performing these "Stage Kits" and the 858 will out perform the Drop In Kit..

Hope this clears up the questions you had.

Are we really gonna bring this pissin match up and whip this dead horse *again*?

No pissin match here! just some good info for the riders out there. Everyone likes to have options. I choose mine, but I thought I was missing something in RTK set up and I wanted it to be clear to me, and anyone else. Its all about info!!! I go with Info!!!! LOL

IMO it is nice to have a lower cost set ups for some people, this is an expensive sport. We all like as much bang for our buck. It does not take long to dump 30 Grand in to a sled these days!

Above.. The 900 kit actually has THINNER cylinder walls and skirts than the 858 Kit..
Just wanted to clear that up... Lots of misconceptions on what the aftermarket cylinders actually change in terms of thickness and strength and cooling.....

Which/whose kits are you comparing?
