Pilots peak area

My cousin and I rode today. The sun was awesome. The temp. not so much. -15 in Idaho City this morning. Thank god no wind. Snow was crusty but nice base. Now we just need pow. Rode in the bowls south of the lookout and up around Grimes Cr. I would just like to thank all of the people who park like fargin idiots at Mores Cr. We were the first one's in this morning and low and behold we come back to the truck and it looked like we might not get out. Also I hear rumor that the groomer is broke again. Whoop em up trail was not too bad but Mores Cr. is back to the way it always is. Take a back brace and advil.

first ride of the year?????
09 that is?:eek: did you get your logging permit for the 09 season?:D

We did bring home a little souvenier just so i wouldn't feel like it was a wasted trip. Other than that no carnage. Found some awesome open area's and tree's around Grimes cr. to boondock but if you go then i will hit one for sure.:eek::beer;

Wade, thanks for the info. I am just getting my project completed and need to go tune it. How long does it take to get there from Boise? I am thinking that I would take a half day and go put on some miles if it is not too far out of the way.

thanks again:beer;

if you just doing a tune job whoopum up is a better place and just 4 mile over the hill and about 1.5 hours from boise

What Wade said. the trail was just groomed today. snow was wet and heavy but not as heavy as the dragon.

Ride on the 8th

As Moco said, it was raining down low, and up top it was still a little soft. I know moco is waiting for me to post pics first so here I go.

On the way home, a tree had fallen over the trail. Actually we saw several trees that had just fallen recently.

Thanks for the ride moco. And no bashing allowed.

man that guy is a magician with a sled... I love that "one hand look away" move he does when he's highmarking. Some guys are just happy to get up there. MOCO does it with style. Judges say: "10!"

looks like fun, better there soon so save me some snow. :D

I was up there as well today. Did you guys go out of Mores Creek? Sure was coming down hard at times and flat light. I am going back tomorrow.
