Hahn's Peak Update?

Just wondering if anyone had an update on riding conditions at Hahn's Peak. The snotel site was down when I was looking and the latest Colorado snowmobile trail grooming page states as of 12/20 there hasn't been any grooming. I assume this means lacking snow but wanted to see if there were any changes in condition since 12/20 update.

Rode rabbit ears just before Christmas. The trail reports and grooming honestly had me worried but really wasn’t bad, trail was honestly better than expected. And with the recent snow and projected Im guessing they will be ok. Snowtel for buff shows a bit better than rabbit ears. Typical landmines and low snow cover so definitely not great but not absolute garbage. Or at least hope not since we are heading out west again after new years lol

To be clear Im not saying it was good or great. Just not horrible lol

Think as with everyone they have limited $ so can only groom limited amounts.

Any updates? We are coming from
NY on the 22 for a week and heard yesterday from a relative of a friend that it’s been less than ideal out there lately…

Some friends of mine rode out of Steamboat Lake Outpost last weekend. They said snow was OK. There's enough base, it's just if you're lucky enough to catch the storm. Their only gripe was that the restaurant closed every night at 8, including Friday and Saturday. Other than that they had a good time.

We rode the hahns peak area this week. Tuesday the snow was very deep from last weekends storm. Each day after it has been setting up a bit, which I'm not complaining about, we're we able to explore a bit.

Looks like fun. i was out there last sunday during the storm. Great overall day. Less insanely deep than Buff pass tho. That was bonkers.

Just taking a random stab in the dark but is your first pic where it’s trenched from a few miles WSW oflike the top of Farwell mtn??? It just looks eerily similar to where we spent several hrs turning sleds around to go back up a hill side after finding no path fwd…

No, but I know the area you're talking about. That was NE of Dome Peak a few miles, almost to the wilderness boundary.
