Palin sinking like a rock?

The republicans actually tried to fight it dude, both McCain and Bush did. Should have fought harder, but then the dems should have seen the writing on the wall too. I didn't ignore anything, I've known subprime loans were stupid for years, and figured at some point it all had to come back down.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Where were you/republican over the past years? You are the one who ignored teh 700billion pound elephant in the room!!!???

Just saying!!

Blame is Lame
It's always the same
it's the same old game
of blame blame blame.
Get off that train
use your brain
it's time for something new
not the same same same.

I have no idea what got into me!!!:D

Palin, is a problem with the elite white americans of this country. The same elite white americans that choose to be diconnected from main stream society by choice.

You must remember the elite white americans are kinda like aliens. They prefer to always be treated differently, feel they breath different air than the rest, rarely if every go anywhere without there servants, they belong to elite country clubs, there children attend private schools, they fly in private jets, travel by limo, only drink perrier and eat callmarie. These are the same elite americans who choose to be disconnect by choice from the rest of americans which is why they have large fences and gates surrounding there homes with dogs that bark when anyone comes within 100 yards of there property. Elite white americans can't stand anyone who does not walk and talk like a elite white american.

Plus the elite white american woman are very jealous.... They spend $1000's of there family fortune to try and look so good.

OT

Really?
So I'm sure Republicans refused to profit from such things then!?!??
I still say both Parties are to blame. One for starting the mess, the other for not doing what it takes to make the changes when the have the chance. That in my opinion is just as bad if not worse that starting the problem. Why? Because, the people with the money (GOP) made out like bandits. The people with the money will make it through this better off in the end, they will invest in a down market and cash in big time. It's a perfect plan, because when the blame game gets going they have a goat to point too!!!

You can't forget the elite's by attitude OT, the ones that aren't wealthy but think they are more educated, cultured, or just plain better than the rest..

More dems profited than republicans, taken a look at who runs freddie and fannie? Ever studied which party most bankers and the like vote for? I'll give you a hint (it's not republican!!). Yes the republicans should have fought harder against it. Everyone has a the chance to make out like bandits on this, anyone can invest, there's no rule saying you have to vote one way or the other to invest in anything. Class warfare is bs.

I guess it would depend on how you define profit.
As for whom bankers vote for........ I wouldn't begin to say I know and I'm not sure the connection. Please provide info.
Semantically , everyone has a chance to cash in, but come on that is rhetoric and you know it. The middle class does not have enough $ to actually invest aggressively in a down market or any market for that matter.

I find it interesting that Liberals get blamed with the sexist card, when they half were going to vote for Hilary for president, yet republicans don't get it, when they seem to think the only reason McCain chose Palin was because she is a woman?

Does that not seem contradictory?

Nope. McCain choose her, to take advantage of Obama's mistake. That is true. But, that's not the same as attacking her because of her looks, or her child, or older children, or the working mom attack. It seems that the attacks against her, as a woman, have dramatically calmed. But, there were attacks. You didn't see the Republican convention stand up and boo her. She was welcomed.

Your confusing liberals, and women that will vote for Hillary because she's a woman. Lots' of people in the Democratic party voted for Hillary, but the people that voted for her because she's a woman, are seriously considering voting for McCain now. Either because of Hillary, or because of Palin.

Point is, I don't understand why any feminist would vote for the Democrats after the way they acted.

So, the politicians aren't hard working? I think the average hard working person has very little knowledge of how a government is run. How economic policy effects the economy and how foreign policy effects the world.

How much schooling did it take for you to get your job? Could an average person do it? I doubt so.. an average person couldn't do my job either.. you could train them to simulate what I do... but they probably wouldn't know why and you would have GIGO problems galore....

You call the comment stupid, but I call it reality.... based on the bs about politicians that gets posted around the web and how gullible we seem to be, do you really want that in a position of power?

I mean, we would all be getting that 425,000 check right now... oops only 425:rolleyes:

Not necessarily, politicians are motivated by power (in general). Politicians don't have to be hard working, just motivated by the job enough, to put up with all the comments they will have to endure. Basically, they can't do anything right, no matter what they do, half the people will hate them for it.

The key to being a good president is trust, love of country, and high morals. The key to running the government very well, is surrounding yourself with good people. Anyone can do this, that's motivated to do the job well. You don't need to be elite intellectual. The presidential election has degraded to a them versus us, and a popularity contest. I don't really trust "popular" people, their view of the world is out of normal.

If you work with people from all over the world, you learn one thing, anyone can do my job with the right motivation to get the training, and the right motivation to work hard. Lazy people can't do my work, that I will grant you.

Wade;873238 Your confusing liberals said:
You are wrong with that statement. Women that support Hillary are not the same ones that support Palin.

Women that support Hillary are strong freedom of choice voters (Pro Choice). Since Palin is the opposite she will not draw in that vote.

not completely. There are a lot of people they interviewed after Obama choise Biden and not Hilary that openly stated they will vote for McCain simply because of Obama's choice.

There will always be those that vote because of stupid reasons. Obama is black so blacks will vote for him simply because he's black. Women will vote for Palin just because she is a women. Seniors will vote for McCain just because he's old, etc.. Never underestimate the power of stupid.

Milehigh and I don't even come close to seeing eye to eye on politics but I can respect your point of view because you can argue the facts. Shame most of america looks at hype and not facts.

That pretty much sums it up!!:beer;

Fine, I will play this game once, but I know people already have the rebuttal ready to go..

Education
Graduate - Columbia University
Graduate - Harvard Law School - President of Harvard Law Review
Taught Constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School 1992-2004 (oh that is right, only been a politician...)
Illinois Senator 1997-2004 (oh that is right, people only think he has been a US Senator )

How about being a US Senator for almost 4 years serving on the following committees:
Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs
Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions
Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
Note I think he was chairman of some of those.....

Politically I like his stance on the following issues
Taxes (very close to McCain's btw)
Energy Policy
Immigration (very close to McCain's btw)
Health care

There you go, but as I have said, it is up to YOU to determine if YOU think he is qualified or not. Obviously there are many people on here that don't, and it is not an argument worth having....

Have fun!

How about a socialist POS??? along with the other dems in washington....

I grew up in the Mat su valley in Alaska, Palin was the Mayor of Wasilla, She always stuck up for the little guy, and the Sled and Moto heads like us, thats why we can still ride atv's through our city when most others have banned them. Hell look at her Husband Todd...famous sledhead....truthfully as much flack that our sprot has gotten might be nice to have some pull up there. As far as the rest of the political name calling and trashing goes i could really care less up here in Alaska were pretty sheltered from the Lower 48's economic blunders other than being tied to the dollar falling in the toilet and gas prices soaring. Im glad finally an every day person has at least got a chance, shes been named the POOREST person to even been nominated for a position like this, yeah no Harvard degree or some prestegious school just a communications and journalism degree.

With times like this we need her experience with the oil companies more than ever , unless you like them pushing us around. My younger brother played football with her son and she was just another every day mother rooting for her son. It doenst seem like shes changed much. Although i was skeptical of her abilities at first when she was elected as governor but her true colors showed, she did a hell of a job taking care of us Alaskans during this fuel crisis when the state had a surpluss of bilions in our Budget instead of letting the state blow it all she gave all of us Alaskans and extra 1200 bucks to help with our rising cost of living, and not letting the oil companies take advantage of the state and the taxpayers anymore by forcing them to build the natural gas line out of there own pocket without any breaks form us. Just to name a few things, Neither canidate had my vote before, but shes got mine.:D

^^^Well said.
I really don’t think that ether candidate for president will make much difference. But the most important think I will vote for is the access to the mountains to hike, snowmobile, 4 wheel, & fish. That’s why I will vote for McCain.

"Media... I don't watch tv, so the majority of partisan / garbage stuff, I am not influenced by, or see......"

"we are much more similar than what the extremes want us to think.... They want to keep us un-unified and seperated, as that is how they keep there power"

Is that better? ;) Damn recursion.....:p You been holding on to that one for a while? I still can't believe I got hit by your recursion stick..... snap!

Another thing...I work on the north slope for the oil companies...as much money as they make now and throw away theres no reason for them to get a break its the poeples turn to get a break and she, more than any other politician i have seen, knows that first hand. I guess im tired of people bagging on someone they dont even know or never knew exsisted a few weeks a go (hey kind of like ALASKA as a whole) and totally believing EVERYTHING the friggin media has to say. If that was the case the media said we would cut down all the trees in ANWAR to drill for oil...uuuhhh have you seen the north slope heres a hint (seephoto) Do you see any trees. This should be a lesson to you all!!
