On a serious note, I think Palin held her own pretty well against the crafty old veteran tonight ... definitely a little "dodgy" on some of her rebuttals, but not nearly as annoying as JB constantly slamming the current regime instead of telling us what he and Wonderboy are really going to do to help the current state of affairs. And the constant repeating of remarks to us unedjumacated schlubs that didn't get it the first 4 times he said it ... really patronizing, although "never underestimate stupidity" does apply; I look around daily and pray Darwinism kicks in a BIG WAY

Neither candidate really gave a straight answer to the questions. They answered a few, but most of the time they took off on some tangent. It usually came down to "greed and corruption" and "George Bush is bad". I guess I can't vote for Bush again

according to the Seattle Times, Palin dodged the questions 10 times, Biden 6.

Palin appeared to me to be VERY scripted, whereas Biden responded directly to Palin's responses in much of what he said.

As a woman, I'm pleased to see Sarah's strength. On the other hand, Biden's sensitivity when talking about his children struck a chord as well. When I weigh the issues and how each party stands, well, nothing I heard last night changed my mind.

Palin said "ALSO" 172 times in 90 minutes. After being in the executive branch of AK for several years, I expect more from someone who swears they have experience. So why can't she put together a sentence that doesnt make me want to smash my head with a large hammer. Ah, the big difference (as far as I saw) was Biden is good enough to answer the question without actually saying anything. Comes with 35 years experience. Palin just isn't slick enough to not answer the question and still look like she is answering the question.

If you go back and look at it, Biden did a great job of stepping around things and not saying much. He hit all the proper buzz works and made sure to come down on the proper side of any arguement. But no, he didn't say anything new or of any value. This whole thing was a litmust (sp?) test for palin. As long as Biden didn't say anything stupid he was fine. Everyone was waiting to see how Palin stood up to him. That was what this whole thing was about. He tried to make her look incompetent and it didn't work. She could have done better, but when standing on the edge of a cliff, walk carfully.

As for the moderator, her azz was in SERIOUS hot water as it was. She didn't dare cut off, interupt or in any way interfere with Palin.
