Palin sinking like a rock?

Is it me, or is Palin's popularity sinking (finally) like the rock she crawled out from? I have a hard time understanding why McCain even went to her for the VP...

It will be interesting to see how the debate goes... Biden should do alright as long as he doesn't make an ars out of himself..

I thought I was the only person on here to think this about her.

Horrible decision and I think it will cost McCain the election.

Someone on here has to have spelled out what makes Obama so qualified in comparision. Somewhere? Someone? Anyone?:rolleyes:

Fine, I will play this game once, but I know people already have the rebuttal ready to go..

Education
Graduate - Columbia University
Graduate - Harvard Law School - President of Harvard Law Review
Taught Constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School 1992-2004 (oh that is right, only been a politician...)
Illinois Senator 1997-2004 (oh that is right, people only think he has been a US Senator )

How about being a US Senator for almost 4 years serving on the following committees:
Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs
Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions
Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs
Note I think he was chairman of some of those.....

Politically I like his stance on the following issues
Taxes (very close to McCain's btw)
Energy Policy
Immigration (very close to McCain's btw)
Health care

There you go, but as I have said, it is up to YOU to determine if YOU think he is qualified or not. Obviously there are many people on here that don't, and it is not an argument worth having....

Have fun!

nobody compares palin to biden because there isn't a comparison, the guy's an arrogant blowhard. Stand up Chuck, whoops, oh wait, no lets stand up for Chuck...

Yep, he sure does make himself look stupid sometimes. But I have yet to see anyone make him look stupid on a political topic standpoint. Which, I think would hold a higher importance...

Remember people, you are not voting for a friend here.... You are voting for a potential leader... you know, the Type A's that we all don't like...

Yep, he sure does make himself look stupid sometimes. But I have yet to see anyone make him look good on a political topic standpoint. Which, I think would hold a higher importance...

Your right it's hard to make that guy look good, he's like the George Bush of the Democrat party.

I thought I was the only person on here to think this about her.

nope

I've been in Luxembourg for the past 3 days.... and I was surprised to hear that the VP debate will be televised live over here. The belief is that the "winner" will be whomever exceeds our expectations.... and (according to the analyst) since Palin's performance to date when responding to questions leads most to have low expectations for her on Friday (again, European sentiment), she has a greater chance of "winning" on Friday. Wow - sort of like winning the trophy in the 3rd grade for being "Most Improved".... doesn't say anything about your current ability, just that you've gotten better since you started! ;)

In a nutshell

I find it really odd that only twice in US history has a SENATOR ever been elected to be President? why is the that? could it be Senators actually have NO experiance at actually running anything? they sit on commitees and try and pass BS bills to get more tax funding going to the special groups that support them! and isn't it funny that one of the top Presidents ever was an actor from California;)

Lets be frank here for once! who actually thinks either candidate is a good choice? not trying to be a hypocrite and quote a bunch of Media stats that are biased one way or the other anyway, we are just picking the lesser of 2 evils and picking a party! I think they all suck! and I am a REP:eek:

But it's the party belief of LESS government/ LESS Government involvement that forces me to vote the McCain ticket!

If you want an interesting book to read pick up a copy of "The Obama Nation" what Obama brings to the table really scares me!

that one of the top Presidents ever was an actor from California;)
You can't possible mean Reagan... he has a lot to due with the current partisanship and retardation of the republican party.... got to love the fear tactics!

But it's the party belief of LESS government/ LESS Government involvement

I would think this would be a weakening point in the current times.....

In my mind you just pegged it!

They say less government but never, never actually pull it off.!:rolleyes:LOL

bigfoot, that was hilarious wasn't it?

I think it's pretty awesome that folks can debate politics on here. Some Forums are very strict with that.

One things for sure, people seems to NOT be on the fence about who they are voting for this election. And that is contrary to what we are being told via the media.

That is one of the best points I have read on here...

A Senator Becomes President

Warren Harding
What are the chances of being elected president directly from a seat in the Senate? History's answer, at best, is "slim." While 15 of the nation's 41 presidents served in the Senate at some point in their public careers, only two—Warren Harding and John F. Kennedy—won their presidential races as incumbent senators.

Say what you want about Cheney, but he knew his stuff, front and back. We might not like his decisions, but you have to give him some respect.

Cheney was too much of a businessman for me to take any comfort in his abilities as a VP. Seems like his assets always had enough government work to do. Remember I'm Canadian and might be talking our of my arse here.

You can't possible mean Reagan... he has a lot to due with the current partisanship and retardation of the republican party.... got to love the fear tactics!

You were presenting your case pretty well, but you lost me on this one. I consider myself a moderate and I'm having a hard time with both choices. One thinks he has the world by the tail and doesn't know sh!t, the other is as old as dirt and bleeds old school politics............

Yeah, two sitting senators, but 15 senators have been elected. Also, how many incumbent senators have actually run for president? I don't think it's very many. In either case, it's not a very good argument. Serving in the senate doesn't automatically make you a moron (close though) and if it does we're all screwed considering it's pretty much impossible that a sitting senator won't win this race.
