Need suggestions My buddy is pissed at me

Wow.....how ungrateful can someone be? That has to make her feel bad too. Bet she doesn't try to do something that nice for him again. I know if my hubby did something like that....I'd NEVER go out of my way to do something so special for him again.

It's his sled, let him deal with it. He's acting like a spoiled child who didn't get his way. He should be elated that you and his wife went to that effort for him.

Guess he must think that LOUD means better huh? He should be thankful to have that sled, it's in great shape! If he can't ride it now, what makes him think he's going to be able to ride anything else?

wow, must be a good buddy. sounds like a spoiled fawking brat. how old is this crybaby?

Damn!

That was a super awesome gift. sorry he doesn't appreciate it. I think we all started out on something smaller learned how to ride and upgraded. Maybe he will get hit in the head by a tree branch and it will knock some sense into him.

Wow, that's a bum deal. Sounds like you went to alot of trouble for your friend and friends like that are hard to find! Don't really have any suggestions for you, but maybe a few for him....

Like the others have mentioned, we all start out on something that is not top of the line. That way you can beat the crap out of it and not feel bad. I started out on the EXACT same sled you got for him and I made it almost everywhere that other people could. It just took alot more effort. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you!:D

What an ungrateful pud...............I gave a kid in BC a great deal on that exact same sled after seeing him at 6000' with an old 70's era Doo that he borrowed from his buddies sister just to be able to go. This sled was the old stiff ski 300 bogie wheel model that should have never left the lot. I was complaining about the bumpy ride up on my new Apex. It kinda put things in perspective for me to see that guy having such a blast being out on the hill even with that POS sled. Unlike your friend, this guy was a true lover of snowmobiling and all that it offers.

If the price is fair, I'll front the $$$$ to buy it back just to make sure that this guy doesn't become a snowmobiler. Maybe his wife could get him a shiney new crotch rocket or something.

This is a great thing you have done and like baseball or most other things in life, sometime 500 ball is going to be your best day. Don't quit being you, your part of this along with his wife is the best thing I have read on this post. Your next offer of generousity may well find a deserving and appreciative person on the other end. Wouldn't want to sacrifice that kind of person because this guy is a dork. I would not want him for a friend, or to watch the disfunction that probably lies ahead for his awesome wife if she chooses to make a life with him.

Time to cut bait......Let me know on the sled. EW

Another vote for "your bud needs to grow up." A friend of mine just bought his brother in law a 97 or so 700 RMK triple with a 136" track as a thank-you for replacing the trans in his Jetta. This sled is NO beauty queen- Frankenstein hood held together with zip ties, tears in the seat, no windshield, but runs like a scalded azz dog and the guy couldn't have been happier. He was tearing up the hills and going places that the rest of us wouldn't because he didnt' have to worry about dinging it up in the rocks.
Long story short, your bud should be grateful to have such a good wife and friends. Nut up Sally, or stay home.

Leave him at home and take his wife riding. At least she sounds like she might enjoy it. Sounds like your friend has an inferiority complex. Make sure he doesn't see you peeing on the hill or you might be comparing something else with him.

Wow, that is a super clean looking sled. You guys did a great job getting it ready.

Heres a suggestion.
Give the sled to his wife and take HER riding with you guys and leave his azz at home.
Tell him to pull up his girly panties and learn to ride.
He is an ungratefull azz and his wife should tell him so.
You have NOTHING to feel bad about. You did a great thing for him and anyone on this site would LOVE to get a sled for christmas.

He's got issues. You can't fix stupid.

Nuff' said.

Very nice sled, I've got it's twin in garage as a backup to the backup. Tell him to suck it up and get over himself. I feel sympathy for you and his wife, you both did a great thing with little appreciation for it.

them are real fun sleds. out of all the sleds i have had i know that was the funest sled i had. another vote for take his wife riding.

My comments and suggestions would mirror the rest on here. Definition of asshat.

Take the packing out of his muffler and stick a riser on it and see if he's any more appreciative. I have an extra Powermadd pivot adapter I'd donate to the cause or a 3" sportech articulating riser. First time on a sled and he can't carve or hang with veterans and he's cryin'..... not sure anything will help.

your buddy sounds like a real fag right now.... he must be so insecure he won't been seen on a sled unless he owes his A$$ to the bank on it.... that is a much nicer sled than I ever got to learn on.. most people who get a learners sled are more worried about it breaking down on them than how short the track and how quite it sounds.. he sounds like a little baby.. i just feel bad for his wife for him guilt tripping her...........

I say just sell it and find a new buddy... sounds like a real complainer.

Looks like a great sled. Load it up along with his wife and teach her how to ride it. Sounds like she would be better company anyway. JM2cents.

Not to make a judgement but most people who act like that are not even aware what harm they are causing to others. I would bet that something else is going on behind the scene that maybe his wife may not even know about. Is it possible the guy has a drug problem, pain killers, ect. He may be great guy most of the time and a total asshat out of the blue? I had a brother in law that was great guy and seamed totaly strait, two years went buy he wound up on charges from his employer for stealing 2 million worth of tires, it also surfaced that he had a severe coke and gambling problem. Nobody had a clue not even my sister and the guy was a clean cut, his family was real religous.

i used to complain about using some hand-me-down POS golf clubs when i was a little, bedwetting teenager. my grandfather looked at me one day and said "sometimes it's the indian, not the arrow." lesson learned. one of my closest friends wanted to buy the rev that starting line products uses to test their products on. the sled was a true custom mod from some professional guys and the price was right. the only problem was that he doesn't beleive in financing toys and couldnt afford to pay cash for it at the time. he told me that he could have the money in about 90 days after he got his end of the year bonus and sold his current sled but starting line was going to sell it to the first person with the money. i bought the sled and had him sign the title when we picked it up. i dont think he has shut the damn thing off since and paid me back in less than a month. i didn't pay for oil all of last year either. too bad your buddy wasn't more appreciative because it's pretty cool to see how excited my buddy is everytime we even talk about going riding. friends are a lot of work but they should be worth it.
