Muskoka buys 858...

Those springs can raise havoc with a belt drive too, apparently.
Polaris included a free extra one in the Belly Pan of my 155 Khaos Boost when I bought it. It took out the lower secondary belt gear and the belt in the first 10 miles. The dealership was great about it, but it spoiled a 2 foot powder day.

I’m going to have to watch that. I love mine it rips for what little snow I have to ride. Just have to be very cautious when getting off trail. We did find some decent tree riding and this chassis is awesome. Found one hill with 4” of fresh snow had no issues, no bogs no problems at all. The update worked well for mine. I absolutely love the motor and chassis.

It does rip! Whoever is saying it is "sluggish" and takes forever to reach top rpm is nuts. This thing throws me back and makes my head spin, kinda like the first I time I rode in a Tesla Model S.

Now, if this GenXer can just figure out his ATAC, I will be one very happy camper.

Yeah I gotta be honest I am not happy with how you operate the ATAC stuff. I'd much prefer it be the switch setup on the bars like when you buy them aftermarket. Having it built into the G8 is just annoying. It IS nice that there are two "driver" settings so you can have one configuration for the trail and one for off-trail, but it's frustrating to get it into the mode to lock/unlock the RTS.

I dont think it really matters what machine Matt rides he’ll be able to get it done. I like seeing the camera guy chase do good cause he’s a less seasoned rider or maybe getting nearer to a normal guy lol. Actually he’s way better than normal but the bars high with these guys lol! If cat can survive the next few years it’ll work out lol. Same with the rest of power sports it seems. As my dad used to say ,” poor craftsman blame their tools.” Happy Hollidays and let’s go ride soon! Getting closer to having good snow here in sw Montana!

Also watch Luke Kesterke, Caleb's little brother. He was talking about his own skill level in Caleb's "Progression Vol 1" video a week or so ago. It sounds like he's working hard to come up to a higher level. Ah to be young.

I saw that yesterday. Looks like the original motor threw a rod. Now it has a whole new motor. Let's hope that one lasts longer.

On a more positive note, I really like that wrap. I'm not a fan of wraps as a rule, but that looks so much better than the blue/black itself.

I have seen plenty of videos of people enjoying their new cats with no issues, but it has to hurt when the one having these issues has the visibility that Muskoka does, heh.

And I’ve seen plenty of videos exactly the same as Muskoka Freeriders experience- great chassis, quality of workmanship is suspect. Hopefully Cat’s new owner can turn things around, I’d like to try one but won’t jump off a Cliff quite yet lol

In one of the other Cat threads, someone mentioned that assembly workers have been leaving Cat for better pay and work conditions, and the replacements have been more... "bottom-of the barrel" types.

That started in 2018 though. Dirt assembly line workers with Wildcat XX and Prowler Pro launch were working 6 days a week most of the year. One employee said they made the same income as the previous year by August. Some quit because the time away from family.

Then the mess of Textron in their move of purchasing to Augusta from TRF and then finally back to TRF (last year or two). Moving it to Augusta meant a lot more missed deliveries or parts not arriving on time so people would work a Saturday then be sent home on Tuesday for no parts. That irritated a lot of people as well.
