Matryx boost fuel pump

Nothing much too it. It pretty much gives 3 diagnostics and potential causes. One has to do with the pressure regulator retaining ring. Another is the fuel line from the jet pump to the reservoir being incorrectly routed. The other is the fuel pump assembley connector could have bad connections causing intermittent low fuel pressure or no fuel pressure.
And if it still has symptoms after checking those three things?

We repined a 2021 pump with a Molex Mx150 4pin.
The manual has the pin orientation wrong if anyone try’s this. Check your tank harness for orientation.
Going to see how it works next week.
The ‘21 has a 4bar installed from the factory.
You will lose the fuel gauge.
There may be a short track version that would work with a float system.

Ahhh Polaris! Been riding them for 25+ yrs. Love the Chassis etc etc etc. But being on the ownership side of one of their new models seems like it's always a challenge. You guys get the bugs out and I'll join you in a yr or two. Best wishes.

That makes sense Tony . I seen over the years 4 wheelers having problems with this basically boiling the gas . Not saying that it boils but it would for sure hot at low tank conditions. I Ordered a chunk of 24”x48” Thermo-Tec cool-it matt . I’ll have my tank off anyway and it can’t hurt.

We are doing the same

If Polaris has been testing this sled for several years already as they claim and the test sleds they had out to the public in the spring how did they not have a fuel issue then? Who make the pumps on the test sleds? Same supplier? There has to be a disconnect somewhere? They just seem to over complicate their designs. Stick to what’s worked in the past. Design your fuel tank so a float gauge works or make the white tank where you could see your fuel level. And a $1000 fuel pump, get real!!!!!!

I stand corrected on the cost of the fuel pump. They are $1973.79 Canadian.
Can’t wait to have to replace one of those once warranty expires. Time for Polaris to fire all the incompetent idiots that designed this fuel pump and came up with a totally ridiculous price for something that isn’t working flawlessly. This isn’t a diesel running 5000 psi fuel pressure.

The Pump on the N/A 850 is a Walbro FGB-54 it seam to be just a standard fuel pump. Looks like the system runs at 58PSI. This is all standard fuel stuff. The pump is basically the same as any $100 EFI fuel pump. If Polaris do not come up with parts fast I will put my own system together.
