Matryx boost fuel pump

Add another NA to the list that $hit the bed. Dealer said April for a new fuel pump. Good to know we have paper weights for the remainder of the season. Are you guys continuing to ride your sleds after receiving the low pressure reduced power message? Seems a bit like playing Russian roulette.

Pretty sure Vohk is claiming one of these plastic ears on the regulator can come unhooked causing fuel to leak past the o ring, giving a low fuel pressure code. From what I have seen there is more to the issue then just the regulators as many of them have been fine when taken apart. I think it is just a bad batch of pumps, a service bulletin on this would be great.

It's not just the boosts - my NA crapped out yesterday - high pitch whine all the time and low fuel pressure warning any time I got into the throttle hard. Shut it off, wait a couple minutes, restart and no warning as long as I kept the RPM's down. Dealer said no idea on how long to get a new one - at least it's on order.

I'm not going to be riding mine - I was a couple of hours from the truck when I got the first warning. I had a RZR fuel pump crap out last summer and walked several hours out - not interested in doing that again.

Has anyone tried adding some 2 stroke oil to the fuel tank to help to lubricate the fuel pump? It could be that they are just running a little tight and a bit of oil in with the fuel might just keep them running until new parts are available. I remember having some voltage issues years ago on the early pro's that were caused by the fuel pump getting tight and drawing too much power, add a cup of oil to the gas and the issue cleared in 30 seconds. Please someone give this a try!!!!!!

Is there a factory service/repair manual available yet? I would think that it would tell you the pressure and flow rates before and after the regulator for testing purposes. Use that and dimensions to find another pump by calling some aftermarket pump suppliers...

All you had to do was Scroll down 7 threads. ?

I'm not sure anyone has a handle yet on exactly what is the problem. My dealer has had 5 go down so far - he sounded a bit panicked IMO, worried that alot more of them are going to go down. Mine survived all the way to the truck, a couple of others had to be towed.

Pulled it out of the tank and I don't see anything wrong with it. Nut was tight and pressure regulator was fine.
Make sure you align the pump correctly in the fuel tank when putting it back together. There is a small arrow on the tank and it needs to sit between to marks on the pump bulkhead.

Dealer replaced the whole fuel tank, was a 2 day turnaround.

So my Boost with 125 miles on it started whining from the fuel pump. Leaving on 3 week trip to Idaho not sure if I should cancel or just go how long after fuel pump starts making noise does it go out.

My dealer said they don't even want to touch it till spring. Not cool. Thinking about going to a more responsible dealer any suggestions? I hear Carls is hard to beat for service.

Just go! You can't live in fear like that or you'll never really live! I'd just try to keep her topped off on full as much as possible. Worst case if it goes out day one or week one is you put it in the trailer and party for awhile or have a buddy take you to the airport. In fact you could do both!

Where in Idaho? Those of us who live here can recommend a dealer close to where you are if something goes down. Like everywhere, we have good dealers, not so good, and downright horrible ones.

I’d go, mine made noise since the end of first day, five days riding later it still whines but Runs fine. Dealer might be able to look at it but we pulled the module out of mine and nothing is visibly wrong. It’s quieter with a full tank then gets more audible as the day goes on. My dealer looked up the module and unless you’re lucky and one has it on the shelf they are back ordered til 4/1. I have also heard of one being warranted and then three days later that pump failed on a n/a sled.

The pump is at the top of the pump hanger and won’t actually be submerged in the fuel for long.. once the pump is exposed I bet it gets a bit more noisy and maybe a bit hotter.
When the tank is low on fuel the pump is completely exposed

Stupid. In tank pumps should always sit in the bottom of the tank. I bet a car fuel pump could be retrofitted in there. As long as it operates at the same psi and supports similar horsepower. But it would obviously void the warranty.
