Matryx boost fuel pump

Highly doubt it, it’s near the top of the tank. You wouldn’t get enough heat up there to harm it, unless the heat was coming from the pump motor itself.

My na has done it, but only after, or when it's half way tipped over, or when it's at a step up and down angle

I ran my NA darn near empty this past weekend, and heard the pump whine. Low fuel warning came on, then a few kilometers later my non-7s gauge flashed a blue/red warning at me, though I didn't catch what it said before it disappeared. No check engine light. Shortly after we stopped to regroup, and I could hear the pump whining pretty loud. I killed the engine, and it wouldn't fire back up afterwards. Brother ripped the last KM to the cabin for fuel, and that got me going. Was I out of fuel, or was it a pump issue that resolved after a cool down.. don't know.

I brought it to my dealer. Sled had thrown a fuel regulator code. They couldn't replicate the pump whine, pulled the pump and ran it on the bench, consulted with Polaris, double checked wiring and that's that. Told me to bring it back if it happens again.

Went for a little rip last night, full tank, didn't hear any pump noise. So I'll just ride it, but has me nervous... my fall back is a 1994 Cheetah 340, lol!

I tried to upload a video I took of my sled while warm with the pump noise. It didn’t work

How loud is this noise? can you here it over wide open throttle? my sled has the typical belt noises, I can here the pump run When I put my ear to the tank and here the pump humming but it doesn’t sound crazy? I mean I have heard way louder pumps then that.

Also is the N/A pump the same as the boost pump?

VOHK rekeasee a video on these sleds and address fuel pump issue as well.

We drove to the Snowies with two 155 Boost sleds and at about 60 miles both fuel pumps where whining away. We both got over a 130 miles on in 3 days and Boost 2 shut down once is all. We both made it through half way of break in period and I don't think either of us will chance going deep into the trees with this problem persisting again. Time for Polaris to put a bulletin on this pump.

2022 Pro rmk 165 boost, at the 2 mile mark mine threw the low fuel pressure code and went into limp mode. I stopped, shut the sled off and checked the warning display on the 7s. I then turned the key off. Sat there a few minutes. Started the sled, check engine light was gone so I proceeded up the trail. At 2.4 miles the sled threw the same code again and shut off on its own and came to a weak rolling stop. This time I could not get the sled running after fiddling with it for 30 minutes alongside the trail. My buddies towed me back to the trailer. Headed to the dealer in the morning.

2.4 total miles, 2 low fuel pressure codes.
Running 91 non ethanol in the proper fuel setting.

That sucks hope they can get you going. Doesn’t sound promising for replacement pumps right now.

After seeing the pump assembly in the Vohk Video I couldn’t believe it. Why did they need to over engineer and over complicate what should be a simple part? What was wrong with the previous pump?
I’ll probably get my sled that supposed to be here by December 15th sometime in February unload it off the deck and have the fuel pump go out.

I’m leaning towards the ‘21 pump with a 4bar mini FPR and call it a day, or a fix.
And maybe a DEI insulation sheet on the under side of the tank.
Along with removing the high flow throttle body coolant(anti-icing) line from the throttle bodies.
Seems like an insulation sheet under the tank would help. Have you thought about changing the fuel lines in the tank so they do not collapse? I had zero problems with the fuel pump until this past weekend when I was running hot because of icey conditions.

I'm guessing previous pump never had to run twice the injectors. I went through 3 pumps on my 13 Boost-It turbo. 2 vs 4 injectors is a big ask for the n/a pumper

I’ve seen cats fuel pumps freeze up from condensation in the tanks is this going to be an issue here also. with the heat exchanger directly under fuel tank.

Any chance someone can get a copy of it?
Nothing much too it. It pretty much gives 3 diagnostics and potential causes. One has to do with the pressure regulator retaining ring. Another is the fuel line from the jet pump to the reservoir being incorrectly routed. The other is the fuel pump assembley connector could have bad connections causing intermittent low fuel pressure or no fuel pressure.
