Yeah me and Tim were rippin around there today on the turbo's, it was pretty fun. Had a great day other than the wind.

And dylan, why the hell would you ride out of snug, thats the worst place ever!!!

it takes about 15 mins to rip it up to the flats from snug, and i got shortcuts, the trail is good **** right now. andrew from arctic man right? man that was ****ed stuff right there, keg stands and r&r in the coffee. i got quite the crew signed up for this years crazyness. gimme a call sometime . 9073547019.

Lost Lake was EPIC today. We stayed to the left after coming up primrose and found the places where the wind had piled up the powder and there was about 8 inches of new snow on top of it. One of the best rides I've had in years. For some reason everyone else went right and it looked more setup that way.:)

We were there saturday with three xp's and two rev's, it was us passing the yager redbull watching you guys fix that turbo, that blow off valve makes those things sound badass but when you aren't on that throttle those things sound weird.
Good conditions on saturday back in the untracked bowls to the left.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the moment.......you won't see it very often .:D:beer;:D

It's a sled, they all have their moments.... except my kids 250 star, it will go forever.

:)

Lost lake, Snug side:

Hard pack with small soft spots mixed in. Very hard to ride in as you never know what your going to get. Get traction one second and shoot out into a patch of alders, then loose traction and dig a 4 foot deep trench to get stuck with your sled pointing straight up hill. Was snowing and raining when we left so maybe it will be good in a couple days!

Warning!!! Extreme avalanche danger!

jasonAK did u go 2 LL ?? how was it ?? did u fix your thum warmer ??

We rode placer insted of LL Saturday, was good ride. No need for warmers with temps above 30 by days end on Saturday. Alot different from last sundays ride at 12 below.

Jason

Snug harbor wasn't bad once you got back in to the mountains but as Bgreen said you weren't sure what you were going to be riding in minute to minute. I think there is way better snow at Placer / Turnagain right now. Had a good time but didn't find any epic deep snow.

Seward Hwy Closed

Just got word this afternoon from my friend at Forest Service in Seward reminding everyone that the Seward Hwy will be closed from 10am to 4pm on Saturday to work on the bridge over Trail River:mad:. Lost Lake trail is like a steep luge run:eek:. Avoid the first hill and take the trail to the right and the switchback. They are stating that is still relatively easy to negotiate. Snug Harbor road is obviously like a skating rink beyond where the State maintains and travel is not recommended:mad:. Just passing along the info I have received. Don't shoot the messenger;).

Thanks for the heads up Shorty on the conditions plus the road closure. Hope to ride there at the Lake this weekend and stay the night in Seward and ride again on Sunday. Let hops for more snow and better temps.

I am crossing my fingers that the reports of wind are WRONG ~ we are heading down there in the AM ~ ~ ~ expecting it to be busy though... the ASC is doing a group ride there this weekend. See ya'll there ;)

Okay - I have never seen so many rigs in the parking lot and along the road at Primrose... that place was packed!! Ironically we only saw one or two other groups in the same areas we were playing all day.

Bluebird came with a price ~ wind chills and snow drifts.

Today was a day of carnage for a few of the sleds in our group. But it was fun and definitely entertaining to witness!

This is what you call empathy :)

Then the carnage started:

This was eh'hm takin' it from behind

And this is the new universal symbol for "he hit a tree" ... not the base of a tree... but midway up the tree:

All in all ~ it was a great day... between two of the skidoos needing new bumpers and hoods; one yamaha destroyed its windshield, shorted out grip warmers, and its seat almost fell off; oh and a polaris needing a new tunnel... I can't complain ~ days like this make for good memories ;) Thanks guys!!! It was fun riding with ya again :)

Great post Jen. I would like to note that was a one-time thing, taking it in the rear while sledding ;). The "hit a tree" symbol is definitely gonna be a keeper, hahaha! I think Drew has a future as a referee. Good pics and as always a hilarious narrative..also thankfully all I need is a new extension, not the tunnel entirely.
