Lost Lake

The wonderful Breeze Inn is only $50 a night (lol)
The military rec camp is cheap too (if you are military or have connections)

It is more cost effective to stay the night for two-day trips down there - we have done it a few times

Heck yeah , nothing like a little Jacuzzi action after riding all day .:beer;:D:beer;

You guys always assume the worse...I won't lie, the new ride is currently in more pieces than I can count but that's because it's too cold to ride, not because there's anything wrong with it.

So no sled shop in seward....anyone think they need one?

What about you anchorage guys...if you want to ride 2 days in lost lake do you drive home each day or get a hotel in seward? Would you be more likely to ride a second day if there was a cheap hostel or cabins in seward?

Just stayed down from thurs to Sun. Its worth it. Nothing is better than gettin in from a days riding and BSing + relaxing without the drive.

How important are extras in a hotel to you? Would you prefer a 2 bed hotel room with shower/cable at $85 a night or a 4 bed cabin with shower and no TV for $80?

Beds and showers are good for our crew - if anyone really wants to watch TV - we'd just bring a portable dvd player and our own movies.

Now a hot tub ~ ~ ~ that would be sweet ;)

Tv is allright but no big deal man. Too busy most the time BSing and drinking to worry about whats on Tv. Plus if your with a group there is alot of smack talk to be dealt each night after riding.

I would do the cabin.

Lost Lake Lodging option

If anybody is interested there is a cabin at the base of the hill about 3 driveways north of the trailhead. Joe Allen has Allens Alaska Adventures. If interested his number is 224-4785. It might be cheaper than the cost of gas driving back & forth. You can leave the rigs parked and never drive into Seward. I believe that he can handle a little drinking & 2 stroke smoke at his place. I think it even has electricity & a shower. It is a summer B & B

Hey Blondz,
Have you heard from your Forest Service contact if that tree has been removed from the Primrose trail? Also, maybe next time you visit with your contact, mention to them that the Primrose parking lot needs plowing. Back in the day, early 90's , the parking lot was always plowed and cleaned up so we could get lots of rigs in without parking down the road. Thanks.

Good point Shorty... I should have mentioned the parking lot for sure!!

She called me Sunday afternoon and I have not spoken with her since... I can try to get in touch with her. She did say that they were going to try to get to the tree this week. If they haven't - then we have permission to take care of it ourselves.

Anyone want to plow the area too?? LOL

I am wondering if your contact is the same as mine? I get trail and snow updates emailed to me once a week or as conditions change. My contact is with the forest service as well.

We used to drive our old plow truck back in the day just for that occasion. Never had to plow Primrose, but did plow out the parking lots in Moose Pass when we would make the run to the glacier. But that was before all the local business owners sold out to the tourism industry. Now we aren't barely allowed to park in the parking lots....

If you here anything on Primrose please post as I will keep checking for any updated info. Thanks.

Oh Yeh!!

Yes I do remember last year!! Some of my greatest memories! Here are a few of my favorite pictures to prove it!

The best riding is now until April 30th!!

Were you at L. Lake today (sat.) sippin' on R. Bull and Jager while we f#cked with a smokin' Turbo-Yammi? I mean there can't be too many folks out there who actually stop ridin' and pass around the J.&R.B!

Did they get the tree out of the way on the Primrose side?
May have just a couple of us heading to Lost Lake tomorrow... wondering if we should hit Firehouse or bring a chain saw and kidney belt
