I sure hope that forecast is right - the (supposed) four feet of fresh that was there earlier in the week was only about a foot and a half (on average) today. Primrose trail is getting icier and is no less bumpy than it was before.

In the trees and valleys the snow actually is good - up high and on the lake it is windblown - my girls could have highmarked any of the big faces today - that is how set up it is. Climb anywhere snow. Apparently a lot of guys were "sick" this past couple days 'cuz there were lots of tracks.

Ran into AKkatz & crew... had to snap some pics lol got a good poser shot on one of them for sure

The best part about today ~ was that Scott got the best birthday present ever - an amazing day of riding with great weather and good friends.
Happy Birthday!!!

Didn't come up Firehouse today - but from what we saw on the Primrose side I would say that you guys got to enjoy it before it set up. (lucky) It has obviously been windy since then and with the temps, a lot of it has set up on the higher ground... and in the lower areas it got pretty tracked up today :D :D :D

Blondz, the Firehouse trail was about the best I've seen in couple years, funny thing is the switchback was the worst part trail, we know because were the only ones to use it. Just use the main trail and got straight up. Nice pics of my buddy Stefan airing it out, sorry I missed out I was trying to fine tuning my turbo, maybe next time.

Tim, I got my Nytro turbo setup now and it was working great.:D Drew will like it for sure.

My buddy has a nytro mc xpress in soldotna rode it two weeks ago and at 8 lbs boost it pulls way hard. should be up at lostlake next week !:D

Yeah, Drew was telling me you hadn't got it yet. Have you figured out why it's so late?

I ordered it from Synergy , Mitch is behind I guess with the demand , I've talked to a couple of guys with his kit on their Apex's and they'r e really happy , so I figure it'll be worth the wait .He said he was shipping it last week , but I haven't called yet to confirm that it shipped.

any news on the conditions at lost lake? am planning on taking the kids tomorrow and hoping its still descent...

Lost Lake still has untracked areas but was hit heavily Saturday. The trail at the fire house side is getting icy in the chute but is doable if you propel over it and don't spin.

There is a lot next to the fire hall to use when the trailhead parking lot gets full. If you visitors fill up the residential streets that will draw the troopers into the neighborhood as well as the park service cops. There is plenty of room in the lot next to the fire hall. Use that instead for the streets

A few from Saturday...
