Take them up Primrose. If the Firehouse side is sketchy they will blow what snow is on the trail away. There is plenty of ice, rocks and tree roots below the little snow that is there. I am selfish

The trail looks great. Most snow I have seen on it in a while.


With that said momentum is the key, not track speed. (for the newbies so the trail stays nice)

Take your shovels, plenty of water and all the gas you can find (and extra belts-cause they get real hot @ 8k rpm for hours on end. )

Tomorrow has the makings to be one of the best riding days if not the best of the season at Lost Lake. The snow is every bit of 4ft deep and the only problem you will have is running out of gas.

I blew a belt for the 1st time today because wide open is what it took all day long. Wish I was there tomorrow. Might go again????

Ouch! you haven't seen how well the 121 iqr climbs yet! i am headin to turny tomorrow, calling for bluebird weather, hopefully getting over the backside, some nice cornices are untouched! good luck and be safe i'll be down in Lost Lake area Saturday or Sunday. Riding turny again Friday if all goes well.

Has anyone been up the Snug Harbor side lately? If so, what were the conditions like for the road and trail over to LL? Looks like most of the new snow is on the Seward side so it might be best to just make the extra drive to Firehouse or Primrose. Thanks.

I know the report is a bit old but I had some friends go up the Snug side the weekend of the 1st and the trail plus riding conditions were awesome.

Just got back home lostlake was perfect. about 15 mph wind mid day but a blast. Still lots of snow to be tracked up this weekend!!!!!!! going to johnson pass or grandview tomorrow

I've been out of town for a month and I'm coming home tomorrow (Fri.), but my riding buddy is on vacation. I can get me and my sled (Yamaha Vector Mtn SE 162) to Primrose or wherever else, I just want to play it safe and not ride alone. I won't be a drag on anyone's crew, and I'd bring some beer of your choice. Any takers?

U suck Tom. Leave for a month and it rains. I leave for a week and it snows like crazy. I'll be back tuesday leave some snow for me.....If u need someone to ride with i think the folks are going to LL, but they might have some of our slow rider friends with them.

Bummerman, you're in Tennessee watching NASCAR, won't be any slow sleds at Lost Lake this weekend. Pound for pound our sleds make those cars look bad, you're missing the real action. Oh ya, I hear your Dad plans on riding your APEX and testing out the new mods...and maybe making some new ones!!!
