Don't set the skid TOO far back. And if you do, drop it down also.
there was a formula for that...can't remember the ratio of back to down.
It was something like for every 3" you slide the skid back, you need to set it 1.25" lower on the drop brackets. It was SOMETHING like that.
A different rule of thumb is, lift your rear bumper with a chain hoist to the proper desired height, slide the skid in and make sure it's setting FLAT on the floor. The WHOLE flat part of the rail (front to back) should be sitting flat on the ground. You pretty much bolt it in right there. the lower you make your front skid mount in the tunnel, the lighter your skis will be. There IS a point of diminishing return though, so don't go too low or you'll feel like you are rolling on a rocking horse with too much weight transfer and you'll push in the corners. You want it juuuuuuust right. Might take a couple of tries. Try starting about 10.25" back from the driveshaft and down to wherever your rails are sitting flat.
