Next time we'll go out the top here and that gets us to a ridge that loops around to another large drainage that I've never seen a track in other then the ones I've made and I mostly stayed on top of the ridge line. this also might be another way to jump across into Williams. Only one drainage between this ridge and Williams Lk / Goat Lk area.

some of a BI&%&!!! wish i could have had my sled running and made it! look like it was a killer day. but the good news is, she is back up and running and man does it run good!!!!!! took our time and made everything right yesterday and got 6 heat cycles on it and took it for a 40 mile spin today. the last motor made 90psi of compression in corvallis... these new pistons made 125psi after 3 heat cycles lol. it ran HARD today and still has room for improvement. gotta lean it out a bit, ran a CRAP LOAD of oil in the gas plus the oil pump, gotta dick with the clutching and throw the 19t gear back in and it should SCREAM. john, next time yall go back there give me a hollar!!!!!

That sounds killer John. I say we get the whole crew and each of us strap on 5 gallons of gas, set out and make the trip through to Williams and stay the night at the Lodge. Grab dinner and a beer at the lodge, wake up in the morning fuel up and make the treck back!

WestMont, I remeber you were going to point out that one chute someone was going to try and climb. But you must have gotten caught up in leading us 70 miles through the untouched awesome bowls and forgot to point it out. Did I get a shot of it? WingNut, where is the Sawyer Ball Bag chute?

John, we pretty much connected Williams Lake and Westmont Bowls back in 2008. Unloaded at Shotgun Cr, went to Williams, dropped down into S. Fork of Kelly and looked at Shale. It was on the other side of the draw we were looking down. We just didn't know if we could make it back to our gas drop.....

Looking north and west down the south fork of Kelly Creek. Westmont bowls ridge is to the right of this pic.
Williams Lake and Goat Lake are about 7 and 8:00 from this pic.

Looking SOUTH to Williams Lake. Shale is about 7:00 right behind our left shoulder.
Westmont Bowls are 6:00 behind us and much CLOSER than that peak in the background of this picture. Goat Lake is out of frame to the right (west).

SHALE MTN on his left shoulder. Westmont Bowls on his right shoulder out of frame.

That would be REALLY fun!!!!!! You might need all of that 5 gals.

IndoubtGASIT, Sorry about that. When we were talking about it we were on the ridge line above and to the right of the picture but Scott pointed it out in your picture and then rajin posted a picture of the same rock thats to the left of the tracks in the same picture that Scott reposted just a close up view.

From your pictures Scott thats the closest we've come to connecting the two riding areas also. Only one LARGE drainage between the two that runs east and west for the most part. Your picture was taken on the long narrow ridge that runs kind of north and south.
Another guy I ride with put tracks on that same ridge Saturday from the Williams side that we could easly see.
A lot of people come from both sides and back out the way they come in like us but to go all the way thru would be the next step for us.

oh yeah!

I've never been through form Williams, only from the secret Crooked drainage which can be a good poke too.. Been a long time, next year I'll be followin you old pro's around... Good job fellas....

Now how do we connect Hoodoo in there???
