Anybody riding with the guy whos pro ghost rode into a big tree below warming hut today? Sled actually climbed a hill, turned out and into the tree toward bottom. Just curious what happened and how. Sled was obviously at part throttle. Just wondering how it managed part throttle sticking.

I wasn't there but it was my buddies nephew. He said that ice caused the throttle to stick and the kid bailed and it ghosted into the tree. I saw pics it tore the ski clean off the sled! Glad he was alright

Ok Winger here is what I was told.

The Mag side piston melted like Butter in a hot fry pan. they said that this is the 7th one they have had do this. they had a Polaris engineer come look at the first one and he said that yup that is what they are seeing and they don't know why some are doing it. To fix it and re flash it and send it out the door and cover it with warranty.

So not much there as to why! lol

Damn, ya think turnin up the oiler would have helped? How many miles on it.. I had a 12 PRO also, so curious, mine wasn't stock after 250 miles or so tho

2450 winger! I asked about the turning the oiler up and they told me that some of those that burned down had the oiler turned up. Hell I don't know im just going to ride it like i stole it when i get her broke in again! lol

Yeah seeley was awesome on Sat. found a deep pocket with about 4-5 ft of fresh! I was the first one in there! lol!

Sunday went to load my sled in the yard at St Regis and burned it down! Now Shes at the Dealer getting fixed!

I think I would rather have broke finger!

Ugh crappy, at least warranty is taking care of you. I think I prefer the broken finger too, that said missing weekends sucks no matter the reason.

Not sure if I'm down a weekend or not, poor finger/ side of my hand is pretty blue. I'm sure on top of the break a lot is sprained. I suppose if I can get my hand around the bar and hold on. picture time!

I think I would too lol. I'm going to do a glove on dress rehearsal tonight and tape the hell out of my finger. If I can make it work I think I will go up to seeley tomorrow.

Anyone know how bad the rain has treated them up there? I have no doubt it will be wet and wild at the bottom. But I wonder if it would be good up around Lake Elsina.

Copper Creek Snotel went from the 60s to the 90s this week. More fresh over there...but I can image that ALL of Lolo, HooDoo and Jocko are GREAT right now.

im hitting Lookout at the hut tomorrow on the ole 07 Yamaha Vector. haha I don't think ill leave the trail or ill steal the wifes sled when we get there! hehe!

Hoodoo Snotel went up over 40" in last two weeks...WITH all the rain they got up there.

Heavy snowfall with heavy rain to load it up.
Dangerous conditions!!!

I'm stoked to ride the trees and meadows this weekend though. My little hand injury is healed up enough to get back out there!

HooDoo has gone from mid 60s to 128" in just over two weeks.

Fish ck is neck deep. Hopped off the sled and had to swim around to get back on. It was a workout today. Crazy deep.

you guys be careful with all this snow. had a close call sunday. was on a slope I shouldn't have been on and it cut loose about 125 yards wide and 2-3' deep. ran out in front of it and stopped at the edge of a 20' drop hoping it would stop before it got to me(terrain trap, I know)....luckily it stopped pretty much at my feet. 10 minutes later looking things over an even bigger natural slide started on the other side of the canyon and ran out through a creek bottom. was big enough to bust off 6" dia trees like it was nuthin. needless to say we got the hell out of there.

Glad your ok . It's crazy bad out there.
My daughter and the group she was with were in a slid Saturday too.buried 2 people and 4 sleds no one hurt fortunately .
I worry us being hurt in the back country will be another excuse they use to shut us out of it. Another good reason to be careful.
