I got the same crap from them on Sunday. I went by slowly and my son was on my lap...we waved. Jacob yelled, "Hi" as he waved. We just got cold stares.

What was funny is they were out on the trail and we saw their dog crapping right by the "No dogs" sign at the start of the XC ski trail. Hypocrites!!!

ha ha

The rules don't apply to them, they're like bullies, and of course, they are all doing us a favor.

I have a great Idea............... Let's build some new ROADS so they can access their peaceful places, then let's build them some TRAILS so they can have that true backcountry feel. Then let's do some low impact selective LOGGING so there will be more wildlife to look at. Then let's CONTROL that wildlife so it remains deverse. Then we can kick them the fu@# out of it, make it totally worthless, an close it all down... That should create about 2 or 3 thousand jobs shouldn't it??????????????????????

What the fu@# is wrong with that line of thought???????

Can anyone spot where I went wrong???????

How come our so called leaders can't???????

I'm movin to CANADA!

I agree with everything said here about the two skiers. With that I have also witnessed sleds ripping by them and/or hammering the throttle by them and PLP's ripping around the lot and at the start of the trail head. So I can understand why I get the stink eye when I go past at a crawl of a speed as far over as possible giving a friendly wave. Who knows what the previous sled did before I got there. I have noticed this year I get fewer waves but more of the courtesy grin. Which is less noticeable to the other stick riders not breaking there code of hate.:beer;

but they should atleast give a wave or a nod to the people who actually drive slow by them or stop and wait while they round up their damn dogs and then pass. just like driving around the city. flip off the arse holes that cut you off and give a "thank you" wave to the people who wait and let you pull out after you have been waiting to pull out forever. sometimes i would just like to go park on top of their skiis and have a little chat...

I see what I've been missing out on now. The skinny skier stare glare.:(

Maybe thats a natural facial reaction when they're just thinking real hard when your driving by trying to figure out what the h*** they just seen. I know I must give the same look when looking at some of you guys.:D

Did any of you guys notice anyone flattened out in the trail? The only time I got a chance to ride it was too dark to know if any of them were in the way and come to think of it I wasn't looking for them anyways.:D

Sounds kind of like the old days riding shredder huh mod03. lol

no skiers

Well I heard of a skier sticking there pole out as a sledder went by. Then the sledder came back and beat the skier with his pole. Wether it is true or not I don't know. But at least when you go to survey there are no skiers just sledders. I like it that way. They skiers just don't get sledders and sledders just don't get skiers. But people are people. No matter were you go! I can understand the frustration.

went up today. musta been windy up there last night cuz the road was drifted over. snow was a little firmer but it was a clear beautiful day. ill post some pics later. managed to accidently piss off a few snowboarders. i was climbing thru the trees and there they were and there was only one way out up to the road or it was back down where i couldnt turn around. aparently i had ran right thru their "landing". they gave me the typical WTF raised arms and flipped me off so i stopped.....all i heard from them was "fu*& you mother ****er you went right through our landing" i told them sorry i couldnt go anywhere else. their reply was a big "**** you" so i told them to go get a damn lift ticket and left. just a couple pot smokin college kids. they were right on the damn road with a jump...kind of a bad spot to build a jump if you ask me.

Sounds like you were across the hwy and first riding area off to the right. They have been in there the last couple years building a jump right on a corner from one road down over another and landing kind of down towards the creek drainage. They started to dig a pit in the road for the snow to make the kicker and if you were to hit it after it set up it would be ugly.

that is exactly where it was at...they even have a rail set up against a tree. WHY would you haul a heavy *** rail half way up a dam mtn? lol i still dont get why they hike all day for a 3 minute ride to the bottom lol. i thought sledders were die hards lol

ha ha, punks!

Damn, I wish I would have been with you. I enjoy those types of debates...;)

Need to unload this TNytro, anybody got any ideas??

Thanks
Scotty

i cant believe there isnt anyone lookin for sled as nice as yours for that price!! damn economy! if ya really wanna get rid of it...i know a guy with an orange REV that will trade you straight across for it lol. killer deal if you ask me ha ha

I'm not too sure you would like that deal, have you ever ridden one??

Do you like to ride the trees???

Got some interest up in Cananadan eh!!!

I may have it sold if I can use my old CIA alias and smuggle it across the border. Anybody got a big enclosed trailer,, and need anything from up north eh?;)

lol no but have ridden a t RX-1. was a fun sled but wouldnt be too much fun in the trees. good luck selling it! i hate it when you cant sell a sled and you want it gone

just a little warning. a buddy got buried wednesday going cross country to the kid lake area. HE was between irish and kid. He was buried up to his chest. the slide broke about 80 yards above him.

Avalanche Conditions

Thanks to Tim for letting everyone know about the close call near Kidd Lake. An avalanche warning was issued late Tuesday for the entire area based on heavy storm precip falling on a weak snowpack structure. This condition is widespread and we hit the tipping point during the storm. We were checking out a skier triggered avalanche that happened the same day at the top of the Crystal Theater. This avalanche was remotely triggered by a skiers weight while he was skinning on the road just above the slide area. Very sensitive. Conditions have improved and we downgraded the avalanche rating to MODERATE with areas where the avalanche danger is CONSIDERABLE. Conditions are incredibly variable this year and we have been describing the development of the situation for several weeks now. Please feel comfortable letting us know when you see or hear about these incidents. Contact us at info@missoulaavalanche.org or call 406-530-9766.
The missoulaavalanche.org avalanche advisory is updated every Friday and Monday mornings or as needed as was the case this week. Really happy to hear these were just close calls. Be safe out there! We still have potential for things to come unglued if we get a big dump.
