you need ALOT fo snow to cover everthing. those pics were taken in late April with well over 110 inches of snow!

no the ones of the lake bowl were April 26th i think, the ones of the far bowl to the right of the main bowl were taken in March i think? one of the vids in the main bowl were taken on the 26th of april(turbo vs. 1500) as well as the one of me eating chit lol. the others were the bbq day.

cabindwlr- do you live in Lincoln?

I grew up there and it's not a huge town. Should be staying at my old mans over christmas. Hope there's enough snow for a good ride.

Lincoln is just like many places. Needs snow to cover up the rocks and trees. And if you ride in those low snow conditions you need to use your head and have a bit of luck. Hitting a rock or tree stump covered by 1 inch of snow sucks.

Great Area to ride and play in. Copper Creek bowls are one of the many nice places to go play and climb. I could name others, but those are my secret spots.

Ragin, keep a eye on the snowpack west of Choteau. When we get lots, drop me a line. I am thinking a trip to the bowls there would be fun this year.

Yes JROD, I live about two miles East of Lincoln. I've only been here since 95 and not full time until a couple of years ago. We got a dusting last night. Went to Kleinschmidt (Whitetail) and Monture Creek areas on Monday and there is about 10" on the ground there. Going to Seeley tomorrow so will see what the snow looks like. A guy from Seeley called me yesterday and he said there is "good" snow high.

Weather said it was to be -20 starting sunday - mid of next week. HOpefully it will bring some fresh snow.

This doing the damn snow dance with no results is highly over rated.

38 and melting. They are saying well below zero for some time over the weekend. Will be interested to see if some snow comes with it. Talked to a guy today who said he has been up to Huckleberry and snow is good there. Will keep you posted.
By the way- the Hotel Lincoln is open again. No bar or restaurant yet but Rich said he wants snowmobilers at his business. Real nice guy and the place has all new furnishings (beds, tv's, etc.) Big screen tv and fireplace area to lounge in. The place has a western feel now because he says "I'm a cowboy". He has 12 rooms. Kinda reminds me of a very small version of the Bear Lodge Resort in Wyoming if you have ever been there. He is working on a web site.
His phone is either 406-362-4396 or 406-362-4822. Two numbers listed in the book so not sure which one is the main phone. He has a 27', v-nose, tandem, enclosed sled trailer for sale too. He is looking for good used sled and open trailer and said he will talk trade.

If you know where snowbank lake is then it is about 1/2 mile on the parking lot side from the bridge you cross just before snowbank lake. There is a big long strait away where the road parallels the creek. If you look in the burn on the left as you are going in you can see it. There is a small road going down to it.

drove through lincoln today cummin back from school. saw someone riding the ditches. wanted to pull mine out of the back of my truck but i couldnt get it back in by myself :( lol

I am in Lincoln now for a few days. Snow is real iffy. Even on the pass it was scarce. What slid off the roof of the cabin froze to the deck. Lots of ice under what snow is here. Ran into town and watched a guy turn off the road and couldn't stop. Right in the ditch on a private drive just at the end of the airport kinda funny. Only saw one sled in town. I will take a couple pictures tomorrow and post them. I may run up to the parking lot at copper creek just to look.

looks like some sick snow is gonna roll in with this storm. the hills around lincoln are forcasting around a foot on the NWS, so, hopefully this will be a kickoff sorta storm for a winter better than last.

Well no foot of snow. We got a bit here at the cabin. Not sure what fell up high. But I am hear to tell you it is cold. Been plowing the place and a couple neighbors and it is chilly like -20 and that ain't wind chill. Gonna drink some whiskey tonight to kill the pain. Evem my dog got cold and he loves this stuff.

yeah, im over in bozeman right now, its not to cold yet, but the clouds are breaking, and the temps are dropping, its about -5 out right now, not very nice, but hey, gonna be colder tonight, got about 6" in town here, all blowing around. hills look like they got hit earlier and longer, finally getting some good snow!!

It looks like we only got about 4 inches the bowls are only showing 2 so if this storm is going to give us snow it best start or we will be having grass drags instead of highmarking. I'm hoping Kings Hill got something out of this. No biggie I left my sleds home anyways.
