Important Is CFMOTO Actually buying Arctic Cat????????

sooo tell us o great one I'm sure you know....
Nope
Not this time around.
I thought a different company was making a play to acquire them.
Didn't see CFMOTO as being "The One".

But what really caught my attention were the number of threads on other Snomobile Forums discussing this same topic that have mysteriously Vanished.
That to me signals it might be for real, as I have had those phone calls over the past 15 years...

I’m pretty sure it’s just people seeing crap online and taking it as fact as people tend to do now. Seen numerous pics of obviously photoshopped catalysts with cf moto on them being passed around as the evidence. People are very gullible nowadays.
its ENTIRELY possible that this is nothing but a RED HERRING...

CF Moto came over a good ten plus years ago, not a fan but their cost was far cheaper then the others.

They also use motors that are in a crap load of things around the world even in automobiles.

There is no way Textron will take a hit, they are just to massive.

Not to mention who's CVT's are they using :)

If things I have read have any accuracy at all? Many good folks that Textron let go from Cat are now in prominent positions at CF Moto USA in Plymouth MN. ?

I would rather see an existing Powersports company like CF Moto pick them up than another conglomerate like Textron.
now thats an interesting little tidbit

It's easy to make people believe a lie as truth if it's what they want to believe.

I am in the camp that wants this to be true. Having said that, When I hear CF Moto I must admit that "World Class" was not the first thing that comes to mind.
Perhaps this acquisition (rumour as of now) is their way of addressing that stigma? Being able to claim USA (St Cloud) made engines & drivetrains would add perceived value to their existing line-up and entry into the snowmobile industry would offer them a ton of free advertising bring more legitimacy to the brand. Just thoughts rambling through my head.

Not sure it could be worse than textron. If it follows what their current business model seems to be of selling less expensive stuff that isn’t cutting edge but useable and cheaper then the competition then I guess we will see if people actually want that like they say. People say Cat either needs a turbo or the cheapest sled.

If a Chinese company buys cat and I buy another one Im wrapping it red with yellow stars :ROFLMAO:

I think Christopher needs to nuke this thread just to stoke the rumors :ROFLMAO:

Tell ya what
I think there IS ROOM for an ECONOMY SLED BRAND

I would agree with this as well. With a powersports company, I would think that Cat would be a bit more of a priority within the company structure. As opposed to just another division within the conglomerate.
As far as a possible Chinese ownership is concerned, I have some mixed feelings. But as long production continues in the US and the employment opportunities are there, I'm Ok with it.
