So word has it that rayed peak is crusted over from rain on Thursday. Any firsthand reports from anyone riding in island psrk???

Will head up first thing Saturday morning.
We have 5 sleds and are determined to find some good snow up high.
It's TOOOO early for the season to coming to end end due to temps.
Hero snow isn't due till April!!

Just got back from riding Snow Creek near the Yellowstone Park boundary. 6" new, no tracks, sunny day. Certainly not an average snowfall year but had a great time.

Whats the parking lot that gets you to the higher riding areas the quickest? How close can you park to Jefferson? Sounds like maybe 1-2 ft up high by tue. Eric

Blue creek lot is rt at the bottom of the hill 3rd from last 1st from Shotgun village

So we ended up riding Keg Springs on Saturday.
Weather was gorgious.
There is no shortage of snow, but there was very little fresh.
Strong hard packed base with just an inch or two on top of it.

At the top of the ridge the trees had ICICLES on them.
It had been warm very recently then froze up again.

The trail getting up to Keg was BEAT.
But it usually is!

Had a great day of riding.
Full on HERO snow in early March.
you can climb pretty much ANYTHING.

today was a great day up in Keg springs put on about 65 miles before the snow got to soft even had some fresh up high and clear blue sky's

So, we spent Saturday back in IP trying to get up on top of Mt. Two Tops.
The snow at the top was SPECTACULAR.
12-18 of fresh powder ontop of a killer Spring Base.
We were blown off the top of the mountain from High Winds and HEAVY snowfall, but just at the tree line and below we played for hours.

Will try to get back up on Tuesday and Thursday if at all possible!
