Hyfax Rail Fastener

When we cut our rails in the past we wound trim the hyfax at an angle back to the rail. This hyfax extends past the rail and I have seen several like this.

I am not sure it is a 100% solution as the rail tips have less of a tip up now as well but it certainly isn’t helping.

The anti-stab wheels on the 24’s are also different. I want to measure to see if they are the same diameter as the 23’s.

Sorry, I had intended to quote @takethebounce in my previous post.

I have a 23 and a 24 in the garage. 2024 wheels measure around 3” and 2023 wheels around 2-9/16”.

Matt and Dawson just talked about this in this podcast at 26:25.

At the end of the day if we add bigger wheels say 3.25 doesn't the chance for a pointed hit to the track right in that location say from a rock or stump still give us a chance of hooking the hyfax? I think there should still be a better approach angle on these slide ends than what they came with or a rail cap. 20 years ago when adding Extrovert drivers to my edge i cut the rails off and put the rail caps back on w/o adding a anti-stab kit and never had any issues. Realistically the caps are the best way to go IMO. If there were rail caps on there for MY 24 we wouldn't be having this discussion. dumb move on POO's part! And once again we the consumers get to do the testing for them and they let us pay them to do testing. What a great business model!

Just buy this before ya stab a track or the hyfax goes up yer bum. Unless your into that type of thing. Haha

20 years ago we did not have 3.5 pitch tracks. That's a big window. I have a set of caps and larger wheels going on mine.

Our TIP FIX Kit is now available here. This will solve this issue definitively.

IceAge has developed a unique UHMW plastic rail tip specifically for the 2024 factory rail, as well as the necessary components to adapt the factory 3" anti-stab wheel kit. This allows the track to smoothly transition from driver to rail, reducing vibration and wear on your drivetrain.
Photo below is of our installed kit on factory 2024 matryx rmk/khaos rails.

Our '24 TIP FIX KIT for MATRYX RMK/KHAOS includes:

  • New custom plastic rail tips x2
  • 2 Stepped aluminum spacer bushings
  • 2 anti-stab spacer shafts
  • Vibra-tite thread locking compound for additional hyfax screw retention strength

Price is $69.95 , projected ship date is January 5th.

More information and purchasing options are available on our website HERE.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but guys are reporting using the '23 anti stabs with no or very little modification and those cost $10 each 🤷🏼‍♂️
2023 anti stab wheel diameter is 2.5" vs the the 3" diameter for 2024 - this is a downgrade and more expensive - $145.91 for the assembly w/ tips from babbits.

I already tried 2023 tips by themselves - they don't work without spending serious quality time with a dremel, and you would still end up with a loose oval-shaped hole. Why take a chance when tracks are $1500+?

I don't know what you mean. As long as u get the bushings as well as the rail tips from a 22 or 23 they go right on. Cut the front of the hifax off 3" from the center of the bolt hole that holds the hifax on the rail. Install bushings and rail caps and done. 10 minute job that Polaris should have done at the factory. Some one should be fired!!!

The hole in the rail for the anti stab isn't centered on the 24 the same way as it is on the 23s - the tip hole does not line up with the rail hole and if you Dremel it out, you get a oval shaped hole with only a millimeter of plastic supporting it. It's sketchy. Have you actually done this install?

Which spacer are you referring to? #2?

Can you draw this? It’s a bit confusing

Yes you need the #2 they are little aluminum bushings that fit inside of the rail tip, Then put in the bolt no washer that is how 22-23 are.
