Hey im just wondering?

As an outsider who has just been reading the various threads here, its lunacy that the sled is still not finished......you can't run a successful business by keeping your customers sled for....well forever.......sheesh, I can't believe the owner has kept his cool this long......

ok guys! 2 sides to every story! its not finished because ted doesnt have all the parts yet! not all his fault!!!! rookie is supplying some of his own parts! maybe that should of been clarified.

and im sure ted would love to see the sled finished, because he could uses the extra room in his shop.:beer;:beer;

..... but I don't think we are getting both sides of the story...

and now you have the rest of the story.........

LHF - "Hey, im just wondering" when we will be seeing you publicly apologize to Terra Alps for mis-representing the facts? Nothing like opening your mouth and shoving a big foot in.....you might want to get a few real facts next time before you start in on someone. LMAO!

And maybe you should go back to page 1 and edit your post about "bringing the truth".
.....I have been trying to bring the truth to their attention and they will have no part of it.....

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Let me get this straight. 18 months after the sled is dropped off some guy comes on here ( I dont even want to know how he fits in with Ted) and says Ted is waiting for parts from the owner. Something isnt right here.

18 months are you kidding me???????????????That sled is old and out dated now.I would buy a new one and start over.

Alright! HOLD THE F'N PHONE HERE!! Let me be perfectly clear! This is the truth of this story. I do have some responsibility here, but not like you guys are saying. I did, change my mind on the motor half way through the build last spring. No big production stoppage. Ted had all the parts by sometime in July. Since then, as Ted completes things he asks me how I want things done and a parts list of thing he needs. I can get the parts for way less money down here and have them shipped up. It sucks that I don't live just down the road and I can swing by and drop parts off and poke around the shop. Those Guys get there sleds done quick! The sled did pretty much sit all last winter when Ted got slammed with work. Ted doesn't make any money on Custom Sled like this one. I understand that (I own a Business). Now that the Season is over Ted is pushing hard to finish this thing and get it back to me.

I have NO problem with Ted and I'm sure that my sled is going to be absolutely awesome when I get it. Ted built this thing with my interests in mind not his own. There were quit a few things that he didn't like about my ideas but he built it that way anyway. Of course I took his advice most of the time. My sled will be done in a few weeks and I'm not pushing it during the summer.

Yes to ALL, my sled could have been done sooner! Ted told me that he wanted to build my sled himself and he just got to backed up. It's a choice that I made and I'm OK with it. All the finger pointing and Bullsh*t can stop.

NOW DROP IT!!

~Rookie

PS. anybody who needs a more detailed version of the story? PM me and I'll give you my phone number.

Well lets be a little realistic Transporter... As you can see by Rookies last build which he finally completed after 9 years, 18 months is but a mere drop in the hat. But as any sled officionato can clearly see, this would have been the premier sled to own but a mere decade ago. But even while I'm laughing my bean bag off at hacking on Rookie, I must admit that his relic 97' wedge did kick *** once it finally made it to the hill.

What did you use to paint your windshield?

Must be gettin' close!! Rookie PM'd me to ask if I'd drop off the stock hood at Ted's this week and take a few pics for him. I seem to have the final piece of the puzzle in my possesion, so I guess it's all my fault:face-icon-small-coo:face-icon-small-coo

Yeah right!!

I'll post my photo report after I get back from Terra Alps Racing's new, worldwide operations center :D:D

If Ted will let me in the door, that is;);)

Longhairfreak, you really do need to get a life ! from what I've seen, all you do is come on here and bash everybody, maybe if you got a haircut and became "shorthairfreak" you would see things in a different perspective !

HEY HEY!!! Looks like Rookie is actually gonna have a sled to ride this winter. Didn`t look at it very closely, but it looked pretty near done to me.

Sorry no pics....camera got dumped in the water last week :(:(
