Don't know jack about it.
At first glance it sure doesn't look as STRONG as the E-Track.
Would also be worried about debris filling up the track??

It looks small enough that it could get packed with Snow, Ice, Dirt pretty easy if its on the floor???

Yes, my trailer has these and they are subject to debris and ice that prevents moving them.

Don't have the lights mounted down the center. I have one in the center that I need to move to the side. When they are mounted down the center you lose about 4 inches of interior height.

Depends on the lights, I just saw the new Trails West trailers and have awesome LED lights running down the center, I think they protrude about 1/4"

Thanks for the comments.
The LED light tracks do seem pretty cool.
Very small and LOTS of light for minimal power drain.

Mine is a fluorescent fixture and it does create an issue with interior height.
An LED strip might not cause as much of an issue but I would still put them on the sides.

UPDATE:

Looks like some of our trailer manufacturers have been quietly watching this thread.:face-icon-small-sho

Got a letter from Mirage Trailers letting me know they would like to take a crack at building me this custom high-end trailer. After a couple exchanges with the president of the company I have decided to let them go for it and show us all just what they are really capable of producing.

My plan is to do an extensive review of both the BUILD/ASSEMBLY process and of the final product over the course of a year or two. I told them I would like to come to the factory for a couple days and photograph the actual assembly of my trailer and report back here on everything I see firsthand.

Any of you who have read any of my product reviews here on SnoWest know that I try to be as brutally honest as possible. And I gave Mirage fair warning that i have no intention of changing my course with this trailer. If they build me a poor quality trailer, I will see to it that every member of SnoWest hears about it and knows to stay away from them, and if they manufacture something that is worthy of respect, then I will sing their praises just as happily.

Either way I promise to be HONEST about what I get and how it performs over time.!

They understood and accepted the challenge.

GAME ON!

Couple things to note on my build list that i didnt see covered specifically in the thread (although its long so i may have missed it)

Lights that come one when reversing
.050 siding .... IMO this will keep the trailer looking better longer as it wont dent nearly as easy as the .030 most companies use standard.
1.125" flooring upgrade over .75.

for reference here's my build list:

30’ Charmac Tri Sport
7’ Height
Insulated
Tandem Axle 6k
White .050
1 1/8” Poly flooring
Heater
Dual battery box in floor
Spare tire holder in floor
Interior lights – 8 to 10
Loading lights Front and rear. Have (2) of the rear load lights come on when the truck is in reverse
Gas door
Extra Side door
Windows – 2 at rear of trailer.
48” tall front diamond plate
Front and rear vents (rook mounted bi-directional like on a horse trailer)

The list just never seems to end.
The more people that join in, the more GOOD ideas that are turning up.

Thicker Siding.
I don't recall seeing any of the manufacturer's offering that?

Thicker Floor.
Same as above.
Wouldn't changing the floor thickness impact the entire build of the trailer as all the interior parts that touch the floor wouldn't fit without being trimmed?

RECESSED IN FLOOR
This sounds like a GREAT idea so long as the dropped compartment doesn't impact the clearance under the trailer.

REAR LIGHTs.
Love the idea of the load lights coming on when the truck is in Reverse.
Geeze that would be nice parking the trailer at night!!

What is ROOK MOUNTED?
Never heard that term before.

^^^ rooF mounted.

like so:

you can open one in the front facing forward and one in the rear facing rear ward to circulate air while riding home to get condensate out of the trailer.

Ahh
minor spelling mistake!:face-icon-small-hap
Very Cool
That would be a nice thing to have with a trailer full of melting sleds.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend back-up lights of some kind... I've had them on my last 2 trailers and LOVE them.... I'll never own another trailer without them!

Rear mounted illuminates behind trailer
100_7264.jpg

Side mounted illuminates tires and ground beside and behind the trailer
100_7266.jpg

Camera doesn't do justice to this.... I assure you it's VERY nice to see where you're going at night!

Ya, I have backed in my trailer at the end of SOO many long days in the DARK.
It is SUCH a pain when you are GUESSING exactly where you are putting it and NOT hitting anything!
