I am proud to say I'm a Christian. I may not live it to the letter but I believe! Married into very religous family (complete with southern baptist minister).

My point is people kill other human beings because they believe that the creator of the universe wants them to do it. Islamist terrorism is a recent example of this. Palistine (Jews vs Muslims), the Balkans (orthodox Serbs vs Catholic Croatians, Orthdox Serbs vs Bosnian and Albanian Muslims), Northern Ireland (protestants vs Catholics), Kashmir (muslims ve Hindus), Sudan (muslims vs Christians and animists), Nigera (muslims vs Christians), Ethiopa and Eritrea (Muslims vs Christians), Ivory Coast (muslims vs Christians, Sri lanka (Sinhalese Budist vs Tamil Hindus), Philippines (muslims vs Christians), Iran and Iraq (Shiite vs Sunni and Christians, US) Cacasus (orthodox Russians vs Chechen Muslims and so on..
And if you want to talk about killing all you have to do is look at the Pope, how many people have died from HIV and Aids because they can't wear a condom????? MILLIONS!!!!!!!!!

Hard to argue with that! But I am quite sure someone will ! It has always amazed me how Christians are so quick to embrace stuff like Revalations but they dismiss passages like the ones above in the same manner even thought its from the same book. This is in my opinion is one of the many everyday hypocracies that undermines christianity and exposes its true purpose of religion which is control and manipulation!
Yes I am a born again and Praising the Lord daily! As far as all that is written before me about the wars and so on, IN MY OPINION ONLY -the Old Testament has lots about war in it, and it seemed to all come down to wanting power and greed, going against what was right and those that thought they knew better than God, like the Pharisees. I have no problem with any agreement or disagreement. As stated, it is only my opinion.

Maybe we all should stop believing in religion since it creates more headaches than its worth? And wasn't religion really created to keep us more humane and restore order thru out the world? If there really was a GOD, I am starting to believe I don't want anything to do with him anymore......1000's of people die everyday for no reason....And if he created MAN why would he create rapist, Hiltler.....not his fault??? He created us...so
Now don't take me wrong. I eny most Christian's not beacause of their beliefs but the life they lead and live.....some of the nicest, hard working good people in this world are some sort of Christian or a follower of Christ...

Its not facts but just document events thru out time and keep in mind the bible is not a fact....there is not one piece of evidence that proves so, but only documented events of peoples stories thru out time......

i guess i have to disagree with you.... i know your shocked
but wars only start because of one reason... corrupt MAN. religion, land, power, and political organizations are not mutually exclusive... to me they are inextricably linked. and none of them have any meaning without man. but the MAIN ingredient in them all is man. so, in general terms, yes it is a possibility that i could be responsible for war....one caveat though... so are you as well as any man. as far as the pope goes he has no authority over me therefore no immediate impact on my christian walk. there that was my diplomatic statement regarding him. c-ya later, bryan.
This is why they say "beware of the followers" I believe in nothing but resonable morality and general goodwill amoung men ,but I live a much more respectable life than a great deal of the christans I have encountered in life. If hypocracy is not a mortal sin it should be added to the list!
