Golden conditions

Goldenrider, I was the guy on the bllack XP that helped you tie back your front shock spring. Just so you know, yes it is all good to remove that sway bar.

Thanks again for the assistance Teth-Air - your idea totally worked, saved a bunch of wear and tear on the coil and got rid of the squeek sound for the rest of the ride out.

See yah out there again one day soon - after I fix my sled!

rode quartz today. had a blast. looked like everybody stayed safe. had to help one guy off the mountain since his sled was upside down on the face. here are some pics. we left with it snowing, hope they have some fresh tomorrow.

We rode Silent. Lots of sleds there today. Parking is at 20-21km, trail is good to the McMurdo bridge at km47 then rough. Found some fresh areas to chew but the place hasn't had much snow for over a week I'd say and is pretty much pounded out now. Lots of landmines.

rode quartz today. groomed to the big rock and then whooped up after. Lots of land mines and a few sleds got damaged. Need snow. It is pretty much packed down now on the right of the cabin and very poor to the left.

We were at quartz yesterday(sunday) as well, found some great untracked climbs and did some fun cornice drops.
2 of 5 sleds dont look as good as they did on the way in.
Ryan come down the the shop and we'll get you a new bumper:D
Rick, your sled will take more work to fix.
All in all, 1 big rock hit (apex needs a new spindle(at least))
All the Doo's came back alright, 1 needs a nose job, 2 average sized tree's are no longer with us.
It was fun riding with you Josh, Nathan, ryan and Rick.
It was also the maiden voyage on my 09 summit x 154, seemed like it wasnt running all that great until 5000 rpm + almost like it was ideling in 1 cyclinder, after 5000 it ran great and pulled real hard up the hill like a champ.
If anybody is looking for a summit x, I work at Bow cycle and have a few left in stock.

Is it snowing up there right now? I have conflicting reports from Weather.com and The Weather Network.

was your sled the one the had a sticker on it that said Bow Cycle Special or somethinglike that? If so, that was a nice looking sled.

Around noon, there was a Rev on its side at the cabin for about half an hour getting some attention to the underside. Was that you guys as well?

Thanks for the compliments on my xp, mine was the black 154 with the blue and white graphics kit on it, we got LIME 9 from kewlona to make them, he can make them for $ 400 for anybody with your own shops graphics/logo, total custom deal, whatever, we go him to make our kits look like our motocross teams kits.

No, that was not a member of our crew who had his sled on it's side at the cabin.
One member of our crew was climbing to the top bowl to the left of the cabin, on the right side of the valley, and did a 12 o'clock wheelie at the top,and didnt have his kill chord attached to himself, long story short his sled Ghost rode down the bowl into and through the gulley and smashed into a few trees, he was lucky it hit the tree's because if it were to have been a few feet to the right it would have lauched off the steep pitch before the bottom of the meadow like 100 feet to flat(dead ski doo). it hit the patch of tree's to the left of where the snowbarders always build a big step down jump. damage was minor,
My other buddie Rick who was riding an apex, tagged a rock side hilling and bent/cracked his spidle and bent some suspension components
The rest of us had a killer day

We got ours made by Lime Nine
www.limenine.com
I think it cost $ 400.
he can make you whatever you want, flame, skulls, boobies, plaid, camo, he has a template for each bike/sled and you can have him design the graphic, or design it yourself in the colour you want.
We are totally stoked with ours, he gave us like 5 different designs and with our imput we decided on a final product.
I checked out his web site and it only has a form to fill out, but call him,you wont be disapionted

we rode silent on saturday. pretty good snow, but getting pounded out. we found several areas that were good, but the light condtions kinda sucked. socked in most of the day! 2 of 4 sleds not so good at the end of the day. 1 blew up 2 kms from the truck on the wa in, and the other hit a rock and broke his trailing arm! which we fixed with a little mountain side engineering!!!!!!!! cut off a brnch and stuck it inside the trailing arm, then lashed another branch to the outside of the arm!!!!!!! worked awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
