Forum Expert 9R review

Idk why people keep trying to compare a 9r to a boost. They are not in the same class.
I agree, 9R lighter and easier to ride and less abuse to the body.....boost = more power and especially at elevation. Boost will be more challenging in steep technical terrain but very doable for those that cant live without turbo pull and will provide an advantage at high elevations in deep conditions. The 9R will have the edge in some terrain.
So whatever fits our style and preference is the choice for us.
9R for me?

My take on 850/9R vs turbo. Turbo fits more of what I like to call the Canadien riding style which tends to be more open terrain hill climbing in well spaced trees etc.
The NA sleds are bow tie hop over tight tree terrain weapons.
Every top level Polaris rider I’ve ever talked to prefer the NA sleds over boost in almost all situations even at high elevations.
I know I can ride an 850 all day and be less tired then 3 hours on my boost but I’m trying to ride the boost in technical terrain.
Of course these are broad generalizations and I’m sure almost all of my fellow snowest members are super bad asses on their turbos in technical terrain and don’t get tired at all fighting their boosts

If you think your better than him then your really good but tourcoutt (sp) is riding a 146 9r a lot. I of course can not ride at all so know jack **** but love to talk smack on the internet. Iam sure chadley and his foes could hang with the handlebared mustache mullet man ???? I did a backflip on my skis before but never on a snowmobile lol

I'm curious as to why you guys think they aren't same class?? I have only 3 rides , about 100 miles on the 9R. I'm running the same weights in my 9R as my boost and it's still over revs the turbo. The tracks speeds have been near identical. Up to 5000 they are the same if not I give the edge to the 9R. So even at 7k I don't think what more horsepower the Boost has, probably doesn't make up for the additional weight. To say they are not in the same class makes me think you have yet to ride one... Or you guys have drank way too much Bool-Aid ? I'll wait to give judgement at 12k+ when I head to CO to ride with Chris in a couple weeks.

Chilly Is your boost a 165? Does it have the ‘23 flash yet? All things equal, The boost definitely will out pull a 9R

So the 9r 155 has the same track speed as your 165 boost?
