I will be giving an honest review of these once I can try them along with the 2 other brands of goggles that I bought this fall.
I only wear Oakley sunglasses and I'm hoping that these goggles are the same quality I have come to expect from them.

A VERY high percentage(70%+) of my clients have converted to Oakley, I have yet to hear a complaint. That said, hopefully the prizm lenses live up to their hype. It should be noted that flat light can be very different depending on where the sun is in the sky - aka the annalemma effect. I've personally found that I like having much darker lenses in the spring for flat light than the early winter as the ground is top lit rather than side lit and there is far less contrast with top lighting. I've rarely found yellow lenses to very useful unless it's closing in on evening, they do not provide sufficient contrast during the day. Everyone will have their preferences and sensitivities, lets see what the prizms do. I'll pick up a set and give some feedback. Cheers!-J

When I was living in Lake Havasu and out on the water every day all I worse were oakleys as well, and had excellent service from their sunglasses.

I am cautiously optimistic that they MIGHT be able to deliver on such a bold promise.

It is possible that the hype won't meet expectations, but Oakley doesn't do anything without doing there homework. Some may be thinking, why support a brand thats not snowmobile specific ie. Klim, motorfist and 509. I think all other optics brands are just trying to keep up with the mad scientists at Oakley. Another note is Oakley continues to support and make products for our guys downrange in special operations! ok rant over! excited to get on snow and it can't come soon enough.

yeah I agree it was nothing like the tame promise klim made about their guarantied not to fog goggles which should have been called the fog -o-matics. yes I had multiple so called fixed lens sent out from klim.

Pricey, but I'm willing to give Oakley's a shot. Hoping for better overcast definition. I ordered directly from the Oakley website. I had to call to find out what the second lens color was, it was not listed on the site for any goggle. The jade and rose combination should be good for most light conditions.

PRIZM® Airbrake Snow
Lens Color:JADE IRIDIUM & Rose
Frame Color:JET BLACK

$254.40 all in.

I'm confident you will be happy, especially if you go back to anything else, the difference is fairly noticeable. If you are gentle when handling and cleaning the inside lens, they will hold up very well. Airbrakes are my favorite google.

Does anyone know if these Oakley's fit in the 509 or KLIM f-4 helmets? I usually have to run a breath deflector as it is cold where we ride (8000' to 10k), at Cooke and North Horns and goggle fit is important to not fog and still be comfortable (Nose pressure from the goggle). I am asking because I may have to order these as they don't seem to be in stock around here.

I am thinking there are 2 different goggles that use the PRISM lens: Air Brakes and Flight Deck? Does one or the other fit better in full face helmets like the 509 Altitude / KLIM F-4 ECE?

Thanks

I'm not sure they'll work well in my Fly or 509 helmets. However, I ordered them off of Oakley's website (can't find them in my neck of the woods either), and they offer free shipping both ways. Nothing lost if they come and don't fit properly. I guess we can report back once we get them and test for fit.

Please do. And which model. Hard to find $200 goggles in stock here too.

The eye port opening on Fly F2 works good w/ airbrake and splice models. No experience w/ 509, but they also worked well w my old troy lee helmet. I had some crowbars a long time ago and they didn't seal up well near google strap attachment. Hope this helps. Don't think you guys will have any issues, especially w the newer helmets on the market.

Received my Airbrakes today and tried them with my Fly F2 and new FXR Blade. The goggles seem to seal around both helmets, although seemingly a little better around the Fly since it is a bit narrower (the Blade is Huge!). The Airbrakes have a strap outrigger, so I'm thinking they'll work well with most helmets.

I can't test the functionality of the Prism lens yet, but the lens changing system is pimp! It takes about 4 seconds to swap lenses. Look it up on Youtube if you're curious.

One word of caution, the second lens that comes with the goggle is a standard, non-Prism, smoke lens.

I'll report back on the lens when the snow flies.

I brought my helmet into a shop to see if the flight decks would fit, they were definitely borderline too big. If anyone is considering flight decks, I would see if they fit in your helmet first. I'll be sticking with Airbrakes, can't wait to check out the prizm lenses!!! I spoke with one of the marketing guys from Oakley the day and he explained that the prizm lenses contain a patented technology held by Oakley to isolate certain colors, by doing so the result is an increase of contrast. These are the first goggle lenses not to simply change tints to compliment different lighting conditions. Sounds great IMO.

I tell ya what.
If this new technology delivers as advertised I will dump all of my goggles and buy all new ones for this season!

Hmmm... Did you order direct from Oakley? Can you provide a photo? I'd like to find out why I didn't get a second prism lens.
