Eureka

Lets see if this works better:D

A little bit unconventional ride south of Eureka. First almost got stopped by brush and collapsed ice, then had lunch by a bonfire in beautiful valley, finally backtracked, found some deeper snow behind the tower and went south again toward Little Lake. Nice snow up there but we also saw some fresh natural releases so we did not make it to the top of the pass. Thanks guys for the exploring! I think I even got some tan today! (Or is it a frostbite?:D)

Rode out to davids cabin friday night, got up saturday and rode to minebeautiful blue bird day..no tracks around..100 yrds from my cabin and davids 06 rev dropped the crank..so I sent him on my sled to round up carl to pull the tow sleds (he was running his trapline 60 miles away) and I worked on my cabin all day..boys got home at 10 pm..we ate steaks for dinner and got everything ready for the morning ...rode out sunday morning..me pulling david on his sled and carl dragging tow sleds...(we took a different set of trails out with slightly smaller hills and ended up being a 65 mile trip to the road)... for the weekend my sled got 230 miles put on it..awesome weekend but not much playin..next weekend the playin comes...heres some pics of what she looks like in the mountains....

Dash, Wes and I were there yesterday on the south side of the highway. Not a cloud in the sky. Went to Majestic Hill and no snow on the river. Great pics by the way!

thanks robert, we had a great time even with davids sled dropping the crank out of it...gotta love eureka....snow just gets deeper and deeper the farther you go...now..if we could get a mega dump up there..it would be nirvana....:beer;

yea sucked but was good in the end..otherwise we would have rode all weekend and I wouldnt have gotten any work done on the cabin..how was your weekend?

Went there last Sat. and it was good to very good. You can see alot of brush from the hiway but don't let that fool you, you can find alot of untouched snow everywhere. Two of us are heading up there tommorow. Were going to start off with half tanks & ride full throttle boondocking thru the tree's and then head back to the lodge have a burger, fuel up and do all over again.

Found a couple good spots. Went to have a burger and found Dash at the lodge, so she rode with us for a couple hours before heading to Valdez.

Niiiiiiceeee!!

Wow!! That's an awesome picture with Gunsight in the background!
Heading there tnight for the weekend!!

Thanks for sharing!!

Headin up Sunday

Let me know how it is. Last time I was up there wasn't much snow, and actually was only about 2 inches good snow on top of ice, then pure sugar underneath. Looks pretty good now though!

The pics make me jealous. I need to stop and take more I guess.

Do you guys ever ride the opposite side of the highway from the lodge?
I was thinking about checking that out this time

Have an awesome weekend. Maybe seen you Sunday sometime if your still around. Usually park behind the lodge in that area.

I will definitively go have another Eureka Burger!

Late

Rode Eureka today, The sun was out all day and had a good time but I will not be back there for the rest of the season because their is no snow, unless you like riding through alders all day on a foot of snow.

Not worth the drive

Rode East Fork yesterday, had a good time. Trail from the lodge
Is quick. Lighting was not the best once we got there, but found some hills to play on. Like it's been said before, they need two more feet to fully cover the alders. Alder crashing through the trees if you don't take the trail.
