Eureka

I just drove through this morning drove a vehicle up from Arizona, was snowing lightly not enough snow on the hills needs 3+ feet. I will post a picture I took in Idaho of a new RMK straped to the top of a Honda Civic cruising down the freeway at 65mph. No BS

Rode Eureka today...we didnt get too far from the truck, due to technical difficulties with my sled, but found pockets of fun. They only probably got 3-4 inches of freshies on the older snow. It was still fun, as we put on a little over 40 miles with a late start, and several stops due to the foul running summit. Broke both spark plug wire caps and sled was running way too rich in the midrange... I wonder if the DPM is operating right.

Oh yeah...most important part. BLUE BIRD until around 4:30, with isolated fog here and there. Temps between 10-5...

Pretty good day, but my sled was running crappy!

There was a sled "in" the rear hatch of a Saab today up at Hatchers pass. The rear hatch was open and the front of the sled was sticking out. The skis looked like they would hit the ground it you went over a bump....Crazy stuff out there.

I call that dedication! :D

Got up there friday and rode Saturday. Rode south side and went back to China bowl or whatever everyone calls it. Once you drop down into the river bed and make it about half way back it gets pretty deep. Great ride, got cold on the way out. Super deep and untracked for the most part way back there... sugary(is that a word?!) powder tho.

Glad to see there is some good snow back up there. That is one of my favorite places to ride. How was the hill coming back out of the river valley?

It wasn't bad... yet. It has a little ice, don't bring more than one newb.
Another foot or two and the areas near the HWY will be fun.

places to stay the night

Hey I just thought I'd let everyone know that 2 weekends ago we stayed at the Nelchina lodge cabins. There only $95 a night and have fridge and microwave and 3 beds. The guy doesn't care how many people you have in the cabin. lots of floor space...lol and a shower and bathroom in the main building. Only 15 miles past the Eureka lodge on the right side of the road. The lodge was booked so we went there. I'll be going there from now on. Call ahead and the guy will have the cabin all warmed up for you.
