Etec XP X, Pro RMK, or Proclimb 800

The pro appears to be the new standard for handling, but I saw or heard of several issues with durability of engine and some with chassis. I rode with a couple of turbo's and several stockers and they worked great when i rode with them. If I had one complaint, they are behind the current standards for power. They do get around fine, but they should be handing out more whoopazz with that light and innovative chassis.

Our "product tester" managed to cartwheel his Silber pro and tweaked the tunnel about a foot from the back. Not sure any sled should handle that, but the pro does need some more metal back there. We won't even talk about that bumper; fix it and move on. Should be able to strengthen the tunnel and fix the bumper at the same time. I only rode one for a few minutes and it was wet snow, so I can't really comment, other than I felt comfortable on it.

One of the locals I rode with several times last year did have and see, several motor problems with the pro's. He's mentioned it in the Pol section and got chewed out for his honesty. It's fun to play the "one up" game, but I hope they get the issues resolved, cuz several of my riding buddies are on them......and I just got a TM8, and will be damned if I'm towing them out with that! lol

Lightweight is great, that pro flicks around like a gazelle. Maybe not as durable, but most guys don't ride them more than a couple years anyway. Ride it hard and melt it down for the next one! I've mostly owned Cat's, but their latest move has me wondering if they haven't let down the Mtn. segment in favor of the trail riders and more profits. Cat wanted to slim down by offering one chassis for all, but in doing so, they may be comprimising their Mtn. segment. Spin it anyway ya want, Cat has a lot to prove next year! As usual, I'll be pullin for em:face-icon-small-ton

I am not saying he can keep up with all the guys in the movies but after riding a half day with WYO i can tell you that he can ride. He pulled some impressive sidehills with his TM8! the only thing i was bumbed about was he didn't let me ride it :)

So I take that as good omen towards me, since I did show him how to ride back in the day. :face-icon-small-hap

I'd like to see some Wyo vid, you're always telling us u ride all crazy. but all your pictures are of parked sleds on flat ground. Let's see some of that steep and deep!

Hey he was pretty decent when I rode with him..although I was 13 at the time and had just been introduced to the riding I find fun now. But he did it fine. I would like to ride with you now though! Amazing things happen in 3yrs haha

Like when you have to tow your buddy out because he forgot to fill up the oil tank on his KK??? :face-icon-small-ton

I quote "Well, I'm selling it" :face-icon-small-dis That wasn't the only tank that ran empty...I thought he was gonna stroke out when buried it at 11k':faint:Poor fellow, I haven't heard from him since :face-icon-small-sho

There is a slight problem, I have tried to get people to video while following, they can't keep up. You should come up since we know your a pro and see if you can catch me. lol I thought I got a few of climbing up and sidehilling through some snow with a cliff above and one below, would have been nice if the guy filming would have hit record. dam,

I could ride pretty good when I rode with bkinz but was on a new 09 m1000 and didn't have it figured out quite yet, but this year was so far from the past years its not even funny, having a boosted sled even on low boost makes a big difference, and a even bigger difference with the kmod. That is when everything started happening and I no longer needed a line, just take off and figure it out. Amazing what that skid did for me. I kicked my azz for ever thinking I was slacking but it was the sled that was slacking.

BTW, when I rode with nytroty it was june 30th, the snow was hard, maybe 4" top of sun softened snow. I was pretty impressed with the flat landers hanging it all out, would love to ride with them in good snow, they know how to get it done.

Wyo, I had ACL surgery today and am on the mend. I'll be a little slow on the sled for the first month or so of the season. When I feel good on my sled, I'll be up to see if I can keep up with you on my under powered turbo sled. You'll have to show me the power of that 2876 Kmod!:face-icon-small-win

I'll have at least a 40lb advantage on you tho!! Lol:becky:

Where ever, I have rode all over west ID, maybe more island park area would be a good middle ground.

That's not good! What happened?

Sliding into second on the tag, everything lined up wrong and "pop", should be a quick heal for a break, better than ripping the tendons and ligaments. work is going to suck come monday though. and the bill$,

Yep, I've broken many bones and this ACL sht is way more painful! My knee is as big as a cantaloupe and feels like it's got fire inside of it! Hope to get it to calm down here a in a few days!:mad2:

Good luck on yours and hope you have a fast heal time.:juggle:

ACMtCat all that swelling and pain can be fixed real quick. Get your doc to drain the knee. Yes it hurts a bit but it will cut your recovery by weeks. You will be amazed how much fluid they will get out of there and how much better it will feel. I'm on 4 knee surgeries and it works every time. Also do as much PT as your insurance will allow. The worse thing about knee surgery is the muscle atrophy that immediately sets in. The physical therapist knows what to do to turn those muscles back on. If you don't use all those small muscles in your leg, knee, ankle and foot pretty quick they are gone for good. Take care and good luck.

My GF is a vet, how I got the xray, but they also have a shock wave machine (not legal to use on humans for the most part) and a lazer therapy machine, both speed up healing like you wouldn't believe.

Good luck on yours too.
