Etec XP X, Pro RMK, or Proclimb 800

This fat talk got me thinkin, is it wider? So I measured it. No, is the answer.

The pipe sits 3"s higher off the motor. So the top of the hood is 3"s higher where the side panel comes over the pipe. So the body of the sled is no wider than the M series, just feels like it when your standing on the sled cuz it's 3"s higher/closer to your eyes. It's not wider!

Who would have thought this thread would trainwreck? Just go to the dealer and see which one looks cool. If you're asking on here....you will never get a clear answer.

On a side note....does anyone else hate artic cat for starting this rediculous steering post discussion that comes into every other thread? I wouldn't buy one for that alone.

Arctic cat has both. You don't have to choose, Skidoo or a Poo???? You have Cat with both styles! Just pick the one you feel comfortable on????

If it's really like a fat girl then you never saw Rasmussen ride it because fat girls are only fun until your friends see them:becky:

All this talk about it riding like a fat chick has got me excited. I have never been with a fat chick. LOL

Really though I am not brand loyal, I do have something against 2 strokes though. I like them but I also worry about reliabilty. So 4 stroke is my choice. I do think that all the manufactures make good machines, If you go 4 stroke it needs a turbo or super though.

everybodys knows xps get the highmark.so,buy the big boys sled and be king or buy another silly sally sissy brand and sit and chat with 2nd placers at the bottom of the hill.

Do you work for AC? Maybe you get a commission if this guy buys an AC? Wow, maybe the Pro and XP don't need that choice because they just work fine.

He is good friends with dale at CPC which has one in the shop to start fitting aftermarket parts on it, either way I would wait tell I got a ride on a new AC, just to make sure what is out there.

You know...it really sucks that it is getting harder to demo new sleds. I used to go through a dealer that had all four brands. He had demo days every year and you could ride just about anything. The problem for him is that people just beat up his equipment and seldom bought sleds from him based on that demo. His demo is what got me to buy sleds from him. I want to ride the new AC but I'm not sure if that will happen unless i find a buddy who has one.

So are you leaning towards any two sleds yet? so we can narrow our feild of debate..I mean discussion. :)

It's an option that doesn't need to be there if you had the geometry proper in the first place.....

it was drifting before i got here:)

I had nothing to do with it! All you and grandma.

If you really wanted to know what you want you couldn't make a decision until you rode all 4, etec, pro, cat vert steering, cat with a xp steering. I don't get it the xp is to move the rider forward and then they make the steering to move the rider back, durrrrrrrr

I don't care who is riding a sled, a 5 year old sled will not do what the new ones will.

It HEAVILY depends on who is riding the sled, five years old or not..........

An experienced rider with old iron will outshine a less experienced rider on new iron every time, unless it is a long dong contest thats about going straight up a hill...... I am talking trees......and handling a sidehill....

I see it ALOT!

pointless argument, who is buying a sled based on what someone else can do with it. If you took the same rider good or bad and they rode each sled the newer one would dominate, the newer one would also advance the bad riders skills a lot faster.

He's saying that it doesn't make sense to buy a sled based on the ability to buy lightweight parts from the get go when it should just weigh less in the first place. It's a lot more difficult and expensive to lose sled weight than to gain HP.
