If Jr Ragged rides likes his dad he will sure want to be on an older sled that can take a beating. :face-icon-small-win
Here are a couple pics from the day Jr Ragged was desribing when he crashed is Grampa's sled (Twice!!) He failed to mention the 1st time he sent it into the trees and knocked the mirrors off the sled..... Zach we never forget these things.....

This will be a great summer project for these guys!

Thanks- even though some crashes are left unsaid your there for me- always there to reveal the bitterest crashes lol ;)

I'll put a vote in for Jr also!:)

I remember the 1st year your dad had that sled, definetly an original Ragged Racer right out of the Box! been there-done that-every which way but right-sideup. LOL!!!

Dont you have some home work to boy!!

Yeah, thanks dad, i appreciate how much thought u put into your sons sled....lol anyways- how cool would it be to look like my dad of 509 Vertical Accent??

P.S.: i hope i don't spell like my Dad or I might have got a little over load in the chromosomes...

See ...spelling is important thing to learn or it will haunt ya the rest of your life...:face-icon-small-win

Spud....Cant believe we didn't hook up this year...Im still hoping there will be some snow left on the 31st at copper creek to make it over!! Let us know how it is this weekend!!

Indy Dan...You didn't forget about us here did ya buddy??:clock:....:D

Ragged

Ragged, I cannot believe you bailed out of Copper for this Sat the 10th, whats wrong with ya!:face-icon-small-win

looks like we'll have new snow for this weekend also:cool:

If it's not too late, I'll throw in a vote for JR. Ragged. I don't get out to ride very much (due to work) and pretty much every time I go out, my boy goes with me. We've had our up and downs riding this year, but it iss great to get out with my boy. I'm sure that it is the same way with Ragged.

JR. just get your own style of riding and be comfortable on the sled. You should be able to keep her upright a little more than you Pop. You might ask someone else how to stay out of tree wells. LOL

It's all in good fun fellas.

It might just be that Dan is aweful busy. My take on this is that he is a business man first, and giver of good will second. This thing is the 2nd donation of kindness from Dan in a month. I think a little patience is well worth the prize in this case.

I'm sure all will work out. After all patients is a virtue. EW

SWEET!! The votes keep rollin in!!

and that keeps the thread at the top giving Indy Dan the mad props!! :D

Indy Dan....Where are you brotha???:face-icon-small-coo

Wow!! What an amazing thread and an even more amazing act of giving from EricW, Indydan and anyone else involved.. HUGE KUDO's to you guys, people like you are the backbone of this sport.

If I was building an Edge 800 I "might" enter the contest but I'm sure there is someone out there much more deserving. I do have a son, 14 now, that does have a disease that limits what he can do physically. He has been dealing with this since he was 6 years old when we discovered it and it just sucks to see him get held back by it. He's got what's called Neurofibromutosis and the part that is of major concern right now is his spine, it has a 40 degree curve, he has been using a brace since discovery and every year we go to Rochester for checkups and to fit a new brace. The brace does limit his ability and he can only stand to do so much with it on before he has to lay down and do nothing. He also had fluid buildup on the brain and last year he had to have surgery to fix that and we are expecting the next visit, in 2 weeks, to basically be a surgical consult about his spine and he'll have to go through having that straightened out with a rod or whatever they are going to do. He loves riding, we've built a couple sleds and really enjoy riding something that we tear completely apart and rebuild with some of our own handbuilt parts. He comes out in the shop and helps out as much as he can stand it and would like to be able to stay out there more and get into it deeper, but it's a bigger priority to keep him in the brace as many hours throughout the day as we can so bending over a snowmobile or doing that kind of stuff isn't really what he can do comfortably. So when I read the stories on here about people helping out the people that truly need it, that hits home and I can really sympathise with what some of these people are going through and know what they really mean when they say "thank you" and when they have trouble finding the words I'm right there with understanding that too, as well as how hard it is for them to accept all the help offered. Without people like you, some people would not be able to enjoy this sport and life would be less enjoyed.

Of all the BS threads, this one sure makes up for a lot of them and really shows what kind of people are here.
