Ty:
The only reponse you needed, you already gave. In a time where Father/Son connect is more important then ever, I know that many of us have never faced the tough decisions/consequences that you wrote about. I think many people have never had to feel or deal with financial challenges (my self included) to that level, or they simply have never had or developed the sacrifice for others mentality that you have a bucket of.
Just hearing your story and the tough choices and circunstances that you deal with make me ashamed for the times I thought I had a bad day. I can't imagine not helping someone who inspires a person like you have me if you are in a position to be able to.
To make this all a win/win, I've had the chance to meet and speak with Indydan who is a first class guy, as well as SnowXTC who has a heart of gold, and some day soon my boys and I will be meeting and riding with YOU and your Son! I have shared your story and your strength with my whole family and we will all benefit from knowing you as will many that have read this story. It takes steel to sharpen steel my friend, and I think I speak for many when I say your examples could put a little finer edge on us all.
Just so everyone will know, Indydan donated way more than half of this project, he made it real easy for me, and its been a pleasure to get to know ya Dan. I think Ty's place is about 1/2 way for us both. Maybe a road trip in the future? Lets not forget too, that Dan is still going forward with his original contest that he will be floating 100%. At this point, if Dan sold tennis shoes, I'd buy mine from him. I wish there was more like ya man.
Give me a call when you can Ty, I would love to talk shop and make some plans. Thanks for allowing us to share in your efforts to be a committed father and great role model for your son. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. EW 509-680-4335
