Conquer 280?

Why would the anti-stab make any difference? Or is it extros + looser track that is better?

I spoke with two testers A couple weeks back, one field tester and one dyno and field, when the track spins around the sprockets there is a "force" throwing the paddles down then back up hitting the rail tips and therefore creating more friction. When anti stabs are added, it simply rolls down with lesser friction. I'm no engineer but it's what I was told by field people and it makes sense to me

Btw for those who haven't seen it here are the actual camso vs Polaris track weights

I have been watching this thread closely. I have a 2.6 163" with 1,000 miles and the dreaded track wear problem. I just don't know if I want the 3" or 3.5" pitch. Anyone else out there with opinions on the strengths an weaknesses of each one?

It's called track cavitation as the track exits the drivers and 'bunches up' in front of the skid, which is one of the two reasons to never run a looser than spec track, period. The video one OEM used to understand this better on a paddle track was pretty cool. Pictures worth a thousand words.

Hi guys , I jus installed my new conquer 280 last night ... I put it on my 155 axys chassis with 2.86" pitch spocket ... It perfectly fit in the track ... No problem to roll the spocket in the track ... Exactly the same thing that with the OEM track ... The rail adjustment is pecfect and there's a lot of place left for track adjustment . That's it can't wait to squeeze the throttle and to spin it in the snow.:face-icon-small-ton

Did you change your sprockets? :juggle:

Anyone get out on the snow to see how these tracks are working?

I had mine out today. There was two feet of powder with a really firm base under that. Very forgiving conditions, nobody got stuck all day. No complaints about the track so far. It was a break-in ride for the new sled and the light was flat so couldn't do any real comparisons.

No I did'nt change it . It looks to perfectly fit un the track . I compared the two track with the 2.86"spocket and there was no difference between the tracks . Well , it's just .014 " of difference between the two spockets ...:face-icon-small-ton
I don't think it will work.. there is at least three or four teeth pulling the track at the same time so the difference between first and fourth tooth will be 3x0,14"=0,42". I think it will pull using only one tooth :face-icon-small-dis

It's not 14 thousands or 0.014" it's 140 thousands or 0.140". Don't think this is going to work bud.

I rotated the tracks by my hands ( I didn't receive my rsi handlebar yet ) and it looked to work very well ,all the teeth was at the good place well I'll try it ( when we will have snow on the ground ) and if it doesn't work just change the spocket teeth .. I'm sure it's gonna work cause some skidoo's guys had try it and it has worked so ...
