Conquer 280?

I have read the same, that 2.86 drivers work on 3" tracks.

But im also thinking about the long term issues.
And as stated further up, it will put more stress on one set of teeth and windows, and i fear that could result in damage to the fiberglass rods in the track.

Spends almost $1000 on track... can't afford $200 drivers :face-icon-small-dis sounds a lot like the guys who put a 6" lift on their pickups, 20" wheels, and $1500 35" tires but can't afford an alignment...

Just got a told a story today of how people come in, buy $14,000 sled and $300 helmet and then ask "what's a cheap helmet for my kid?" Ha. Then the employee repeats the question back to the customer and he realizes what he just said.

Just got done installing the 162" conquer with 3" pitch center drive Avid drivers on the 163" 2.6" axys rails... Tight would be an understatement...

Top is the 162" conquer

FYI
Avid center drive 3" pitch drivers are 1819g
stock 2.86" pitch drivers are 888g

So almost 2 lbs heavier

With the 1.02" track length difference on mine the rear axle adjuster is as far forward as it goes. You're going to have a 1.44" difference in track length. If you're rear axle is in the same position as mine was stock I doubt it will fit. Might need new rails.

The stock track is closer to 154" than it is 155" so im hopefull it will work. Leaving for the workshop soon.

Just mounted the track. Perfect fit, but i said the wrong track length earlier. Turns out it is a 156" and not a 153", I think I ordered a 153", but if it was me or the dealer who ordered the wrong i dont know.

Looks good!

Where was the rear wheel axle placed in the slot when tightened to spec?

I assume the pics above shows the track on the sled untensioned, with it being seemingly very loose:)

The track is tightened in the pictures. :) Not to any Polaris specs, but to my own preferances.

I dont know where you see it beeing loose? If you look at my hyfax they are pretty close to the track, and sled is hanging in the air.

Edit: It may be the rails stiffeners that is creating an optical illusion? My rails and hyfax are black :)

I zoomed in on the picture, to where the track hangs with the most distance from the hyfax.

IMO that track looks way to loose. AXYS slack measurement is 5/8-3/4 inch (1.6-1.9 cm) With a 10 lb. (4.54 kg) weight on the track, Measurement Location 16 inches (40 cm) ahead of rear idler shaft. Eric

I usually press with one finger and stick two in...you want it to be a struggle to get your fingers in there, but if it's too tight you need to slow down and reassess the situation.
