FourtraXXX - Buautians speak to each other in a cryptic code format. That's our logistics discussion in progress - so that the main route to Irwin - Kebler Pass - is Zambonied for your enjoyment when you arrive here for the 4M ride.

***Now back to our regularly scheduled program***

i'm in if someone's got a sled....

...so I just threw $1700 at my truck after the cooling system failed last night :( No sled for me for anohter month or so... with any luck i'll have one of my own before the 4m ride :\

is there an estimate on how many people are going to be riding? I get one chance to ride this year and I want to get everything i can out of it :)

Meatman,

From what I have heard and read in the old and new forums there usually is 50-60 peeps attending! They break up into groups based on riding ability or style and then head out. From what Chad (chadincolo) told me on Monday there is all types of riding to do at the Irwin/Crested Butte area. There are all types of hill climbing from easy to sick, there are jumps, drops and trails. Whatever your heart desires. They have been getting pounded with snow, it came late, but it hasn't stopped! Just from reading what some of the past attendees have said it is a blast! This will be my first year going so I have kept up on these threads. Talk to ya soon and see ya at the race to 3000;)

state...i just have a hood in chelan that i have no idea how im gonna get, greyhound said it was too big and shipping is outrageous

Did you try USPS? Maybe DHL has better rates and I have heard that they aren't so picky about size!

 You have never met me before. You have never ridden with me before. Matter of fact i dont think ive ever seen your sled and you have never seen mine.

Actually, I have a few times. Last time was last December at willow park. You and your brother were stuck in the flats using your jacks. Nothing against the jack. Mine gets used on a regular basis.

Twas a balmy 21 deg up there today, and windy as hell.
Good base setting up - and the trail out to Irwin was in good shape thx to CB Rob, GunniApexrider & Turbo.

Allrevdup - sorry I missed ya this morning (we got a late start 2:00pm), but I'm planning to ride again Monday afternoon if you're up for it. (sent PM)

Haha! AllRevdup and I chased around Splains late this afternoon for a few hrs - simply amazing. We chased up some tree paths, and found deeeeep, deep POW!

The Kebler International Speedway & Rental Wrecking Yard was in great shape out there. Thx.

Yeah, I hear ya - we dug out three as well - one off of Kebler, another in Splains and one of Greg's Rent-a-wreck's above the Y. The guy we dug above the Y was a Poo with a torn up rack - said he had just been stuck in a gully. LOL.

You'd think these rental guys would have a few helping hands up there on the busiest weekend just to salvage their sleds and maybe even their customers.

Maybe heading back out this afternoon - going to go higher towards Robinson, or over behind the Um...Cliff Creek?

MD.
