Where do you do your "quick searches" for your propaganda? What makes you think your sources aren't propaganda, and other peoples' sources are?
The consequences now are somewhere between fairly reasonable expectations and clearly stated goals of this administration and big government, and the corrupt politicians who are paid off by big media and insider trading with wall street & other big business, the industrial war machine, etc...
Personally, I still think the biggest enemy to us (common citizens of the USA) are the globalists and the elites, who are also enabled by corrupt politicians who enjoy lining their own pockets. But hey, at least these little soundbites keep us bickering and distract us from who / what the real problem is / problems are.
I look at little stuff like: "Who benefitted the most from Covid ****show?", "who is benefitting the most from this Ukraine ****show?" It sure AF wasn't / isn't the non-elite common person.
To keep it on topic, who is going to benefit the most from this Green New Deal? Hint, it sure AF isn't people like us.
On a bright note, using inflation adjusted dollars, fuel was still more expensive in 2008 than it is now when the dollar is adjusted for inflation - $4.25 (2008) = $5.71 (2022) - (source - https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/ which I quickly admit is another potential source of skewed govt info / aka propaganda).
And there is no question that I am a bigger fan of the Trump administration's policies than I am of this Deep State / Biden / Globalist administration's policies and the results that each one delivered or is delivering.
Ox, what are your thoughts on the Great Reset / Davos / WEF? Do you think it is in the works, or is it just conspiracy theory kook talk?

Trust your government ... to lie to you. The radical leftists in government are working on an agenda to absolutely control you and everyone else. Individual freedom and liberty are a distinct danger to a government that seeks to gain complete control over every American. Government wants sheep, not wolves. Per the "FACT" that we have 400 yrs of [feasibly retrievable] reserves here in the US for our own use, can you produce anything in YOUR search that says that?
Again - a quick search says that we have 5 (maybe 6) years worth of reserves on our own shores, which seems unbelievably low.
But a better read (wiki) then includes offshore, arctic, and whatnot as add-ons.
A quick glance at that seem to come up to maybe 20 years of "known" plays.
If there is 15-20 times that much "known" otherwise, I for one would be all ears!
And I hope that you are right!
And while the Siera Club and their ilk may want to play that down, I would certainly think that the petro pro's would be reporting that we doo have all kinds of surplus available to keep any scare down.
Just seems like quite a drastic differential in info, so I ask - who is your source?

We have a manufacturer close by that builds solar units.
I have a chum that rents them a building for their mfg needs.
He also makes some framework parts for them.
I have a customer that also makes many framework parts for them as well.
I don't follow this stuff enough to know who is raking in the big $ from this (actually, not just name dropped) but I doo know regular folks that benefit from it.
They are not getting rich from it tho. At least not any more so than if they were making any other parts.
I don't know of any industry that you make extra $ just b/c of what the industry is.
We live in an enterprising, competitive country, and price is a major player in getting any work.
I am not a proponent of shutting down our old skewl gens, but if there is something better, that can stand on it's own, I'm all for it!

There are many ways Big brother is trying to stick it to O&G and thus us as constituents. More than 1/3 of the cost of a new well is in tubulars. if you've never been in O&G or done any engineering for them you wouldn't know. There are many companies that are trying to produce as much as they can for obvious reasons but if there is no casing for new wells or repairs on existing wells then operators are SOL. There is no casing in the US right now... I should say available for use in the US. There is plenty of imported tubular sitting in ports in TX and other places that can't be sold and used because of import quotas. These quotas could be adjusted to help offset the cost of gasoline for the Country but they aren't. I'm all for keeping goods and jobs in the US but if there isn't any product being made here that can help millions they should do the right thing to help all in the country and stop focusing on their own agendas.
I Shirley don't know about what is or isn't setting in a hull just offshore, but as someone that buys metal, especially steel with regularity, I can tell you for sure that LOTS of materials are in back-order status. And have been for the last year. Last I checked, mill-run orders were out to about 8-10 months delivery. I have placed orders for aluminum extrusions that were out to 56 weeks delivery. (?) Of course with none of these doo you know the price that you will be paying as it is all "Price in effect at time of shipping".
Not sure about tubing specifically, but mill-runs of solids is up maybe 50% in price.
Not sure if casings are DOM or EW? Purty sure that DOM is up over 100%, but the DOM mills ALWAYS ca$h in on hikes!
