The utility posted a notice on social media saying: “Customers may notice less pressure as AWWU is working with AFD to provide them more water pressure to help fight the fire in midtown.”

For some reason there is has been talk for a possible fire on hillside, thousands of homes, because of the possible dry season and heavy over growth with difficult accessibility and of course lack of water resources.

A fire department spokeswoman said crews kept the fire from spreading to other buildings, but “there were quite a few vehicles that were heavily damaged due to the extreme heat.”
