castlegar area

They actually blocked people in, in the parking lot up the Bombi? Man that would be the day lol, id be smashing and winching against peoples will till someone decided to smarten up. I cant believe people would be so childish, ah well...let em play, but if they are smart they wont block ol blue/red/black in.

Nah buddy, where we will go that childish crap doesnt happen. When are ya comming up this way anyways?

We're hookin' up with Sled Chickie and her crew on sunday in Creston to check out some new ground and then it's back to work for two weeks for me. I'll call you the first part of Feb. and make plans.

Im still having a hard time with the blocking someone in thing haha. I would frickin snap. Obviously those folks have never seen a vehicle drug around against its will...Eventually somethings gotta give

Once they saw my beater, they'd think twice before trying to block me in! :D

I haven't heard of any crap like that on the Bombi and I'm a member.

Hey Brian, have you rode with Bjorn this season? He got an '04 800 Rev he's all proud of! It was fun digging him out last weekend! :D

Haha, i havent yet actually. I know he's excited about it, thats for sure. Ill ahve to see if the cat can still hold its own with that. We need to do another ride like the pipeline/powerline one last year. Weather wasnt the greatest, but it sure was a blast. I heard rumor you had some pictures of that shinanagans?
Brian

The crossditches on the gas line were a blast! :D Too bad about the weather. Not too many great pics, I'll blame the overcast day for that.

Have you guys busted trail to ridge up Sheep yet? Started to head up there on the quad back in summer, nice trail through the trees.

Brian's got it. That's the Canex mine (Jersey workings), near the old townsite of Jersey. Gas line is up Lost creek, can only ride so far up there, the caribou don't like snowmobiles. :D

bombi ride

i'm a new member to the castlegar club this year, and will be doing the majority of my riding up the norns and ladybird. but today we decided to go up to the bombi to check it out as it has been a few years since i'd been up there. heard that some of our members weren't treated very well up there earlier this winter. apart from there being a jam full parking lot, we didn't run into any problems with anybody. and hopefully it will be the same if we decide to go up there again this year. there are alot of new riding areas since i was there last and alot of new nice trails to explore, i really enjoyed it. could use a couple more feet of snow though.

I have lived away from the area for 5 yrs and still go back to sled frequently when I get the chance. The Bombi was always a problem in the winter with folks coming up from town on a Sat afternoon to have a hot dog roast in the middle of the freakin road. They'd bring up the whole family and friends and 30 of em would be standing in the middle of the road when you'd come around the corner, or they'd have the ol 250 Bravo out and be towing the kids around on GT's. Which is why we stopped riding there. The BV club needs to realize you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. When I was a member of the Sno-goers, they were preaching the conglomeration of the sled clubs then, but it still hasn't happened I see.
