Thanks for the pics and info on the trail. A buddy of mine was up there too on Saturday, he wasn't kidding about the dirt riding. Typical for this time of year. A lot more snow then usual though, normally May long we're unloading here.......

Left the sled at home this weekend for a change and took the Grizzly out to play. Still found some snow to enjoy though! :D

Thinking about riding Ladybird June 7/8, heard the seafood fest was supposed to take place that weekend. We'll be staying in a buddies camper if we can drive to Fry's crossing by then.

yea fry's crossing will be soon,by june 7th forsure

Hey Guys,

I come up from Spokane and ride at the Mitchener Creek area (just south of where 3B meets the 3) when we run outta snow down here. Do you guys know how the snow is up there? I drop right off the hiway.

Any feedback would be great.

Thx

If you're talking about Claim Pit road across from Nancy Greene lake, you'll definitely do a bit of dirt riding this time of year. We were on the quads up to 4500' last weekend and not enough snow for sleds, that was up Bulldog which isn't far from Nancy Greene. I'd try Neptune first, you'll hit it first if coming in from Patterson anyways. It's higher in elevation, should be less dirt, maybe? :D

Let us know how it is.

Did you ride quad to the top of Bulldog? As in Bulldog mtn accessed from the rail trail? Just curious...we were wanting to quad and bike into my buddy's cabin and that's the route we take, but wasn't sure of the snow situation.

That's the one. I was surprised to see it open, with the amount of snow everywhere else. The only snow we saw was on the original Bulldog trail between the top of the tunnel and the railgrade west of the tunnel. Nothing from the tunnel to Renata.

While we're on the topic, do you know of a trail that skirts Renata bay? It's the one with the little quad bridge. The main road across the sand bank was washed away since last time I was there and Renata creek was raging, didn't want to chance it! A buddy heard that there is now a trail through someone's property but they are letting atvers use it. Would be nice to be able to get through and up to Cinnamon and Cottonwood lakes again.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I guess I may have to head up to Revy.

There's always Ladybird/Russel lake, it'll be good for another 4-6 weeks for sure.

Anyone heard of riding up Enterprise ck late in the year? A guy told me they ride into June up there. And there's always Springer ck, we were quadding there last year, June 1st, could of dropped the sleds half way up Meteor road and played for a few hours in the bowl.

Thanks man, that's exactly what I wanted to know!

Ya that bank washed away 2 or 3 summers ago. There definetly is a trail through private property that switchbacks down to that quad bridge/creek crossing. My friend's cabin is the one right across the creek visible from the bay. We use the trail, but he is good friend's with the people who's property the trail runs through. You just cruise down the airstrip and hang a left just before the road goes downhill, I think there's a little bulletin board and a sign there. I would assume that if you asked they would let you use it....could be wrong I guess.

It kicks *** up in that area....have you ever been to the Renata Falls?

While we're talking about this area I've got another question for you or whoever else.....has anyone sledded over the same trail to get into Renata? I really want to do that next year, and this is the most direct route.

I'll have to inquire about the trail, to be able to cross Renata ck in summer lets you access hundreds of miles of logging roads and old trails. I've been over to the Burrel valley from Renata, 230km round trip and we didn't cover any of the side roads! Also did an overnighter starting at Passmore to Fauquier across the ferry to Needles, down to Edgewood then on to Renata and down the railbed to the dam. Was a good trip!

Been to the falls once a few years ago, one hell of a steep trail down to them, don't miss a step or you'll be hurting at the bottom! I'll PM you with more stuff of the area.

Before they put that new logging road in (from top of the tunnel down towards Brooklyn) I tried sledding down the original pack trail which you can still ride parts of. It was an adventure for sure, lots of blowdowns and not much snow. The closer to the lake you get, the less snow there is. I think taking the main bulldog - Renata road on a sled would be pretty easy when the snow sets up, it's a steep climb in places. Definitely bring a chainsaw though!

Did they ever catch the guy who took Coxy's M7? Haven't seen him on here in a while. Just curious if he got a new ride or not.
