castlegar area

Was up the Airport yesterday for a romp. Probed at the club cabin showed 4-4.5" of snow. Didn't get a chance to check up top, but just off the top of the ridge there was an easy 2 feet of untouched luscious pow pow on top of that base that was spoke of earlier. Again, still small tree's peaking out, and dont hit any of the big "jumps" haha. One of the best boondocking days ive had.
Koot...keep those pictures hidden, they'll lure too many people out that a way haha

Thanks for the updates, keep them coming please, much appreciated as my holiday plans depend on the snow conditions.

Is the base better setup than same time last year?

probley not,i think we had more snow last year in december,i remember i was up on decemeber 28th and there was over a 7 foot base at the norns cabin, and hit pretty much every jump and i wasnt hitin nothing, awsome blue bird day tho.

Land mine from last year

Yeah I agree last year after Christmas was nice snow & weather, but lots of hidden dangers.

This rock wasn't visible on the surface but was just a couple inches below (photo was after I kicked the snow down to make it more visible). Also hit a stump at slow speed, again no damage but I did get a free trip over the bars.

I'm bringing my sled but will definitely be more careful this year.

Just got back from rover/snowater. Tons of fresh pow, gotta be a good few feet. Wind blowing up top, went up to the saddle but not over. Definetly some good donut-whipping to be had but the climbs are a little too knobby and too many rocks poking out for my tastes.

Fun day....powdershots over the head, running through the trees was great with that crust for grip underneath! Last few clicks to the cabin bumpier than hell but the groomer looked to be getting to it as we were leaving!

TP, we're heading the Airport possibly today...Unless we get side tracked to Barret or something. Shouldnt have a problem finding a group to hook up with at all.

Hey buddy. That hood looks good on the ol girl. Just need some other orange parts to make the green go away. And anytime you wanna head on up just lemme know, and we'll make it happen. Lots of good area's a guy can choose from up here. Hows it been down there so far this season?

Toasted the motor in my 1200 and am still waiting parts. I still have the 1150 for a backup, so maybe we can get together next week, say mid week and ride if you can get away during the week? Maybe with any luck, I'll have the 1200 back together by then too.

Hey Friends from the North:

Hope everyone is well this year. Glad to hear conditions are good. Any signs of slides yet, I bet it is ripe right now. Did you guys find a groomer yet? I found a lead on a Pisten Bully if you want it.

As for the memberships, I'm sure I ponied up at the Element Premier, but I have nothing to show but a handful of gift certificates (son #1 & pal were 86'd right away). Is there any record if I'm up to date and do I need anything to show in the lot.

Also looking forward to seeing a few of the other areas. Still haven't seen the club yet. Looking forward to seeing/meeting everyone this year. I'm also ready for another trip to Chop Sticks for dinner. Rideguy has me hooked on the Garlic Shrimp Eggrolls. Have a great New Year everyone, see ya soon. Eric, Josh, Kameron

The stuck throttle vid is in there for sure. I sent a copy or 2 with Rideguy if ya want to see it. The Pisten Bully I saw was in an equipment trader magazine, get me a fax # and I'll fax the page. I might be able to find a web site as well. Have a good one. EW

Rode up Rover creek on sunday....trails and low down stuff was tracked out, but not much action over the saddle. Dropped down to the first few bowls and it was SICK, waist deep pow everwhere. Didn't get back into superbowl and such, as we were a little pressed for time.

Riding buddy was coming down one hill and had to stop 1/2 way because there was so much powder in his face he couldn't breath LOL

Niiiice Jay. We tried to bust trail into 3 Sisters lake the other day over Salmo way. 3 M7's, new XP, and some other big sleds, and it was insane. Spent 3 hours trying to get up through the tree's, and came up about 50 yards short of the top bench when night fell upon us. Insane, 4 feet of fresh ontop of a so-so base, was a god damn circus up there. Guys were getting stuck comming down hill through the tree's.

Jason, it sounds like ill be back to work here shortly, so weekends would be the best bet to be able to hook up and ride, as i cant really turn down work for a while here. Just lemme know, and we'll work it out.
Brian
