Big trouble today - help needed!!!!

Sorry about the mishap Kim & Pete. It was kind of a cluster F to start. The group that left without Kim and Pete got separated too. LOL

Hector and I have never been there so we followed the biggest group I could keep my eye on.

Once we got there I'll have to admit that I was stoked to literally get down in waist deep and get those sleds out. So off Hector, Doug and I went snow shoeing. Hardest part was trying to rally so many different sleds. Every time I turned around I was on a different sled in a different situation.

They put some pink tape from tree to tree hoping to keep others from dropping in the way we came out. Just hope it works.

So a big thanks to everyone. Great group effort.

Still can't believe they dropped down through those pines. So Steep....

And thanks for letting me ride all your sleds. Made me really love mine when I got back on er. Right Hector. LMAO

BTW: I'm kinda tired.

Kev, I could feel the love on the way in. Your sled looked like it handled really well down the trail. You're #1 in my book too.

Hector, way to getter done today. We got some cardio, that's for sure. Next weekend needs to be a different story.

I think everybody will rest well tonight. :face-icon-small-win

#1 ha ha 200 lb lard azz! I wanted to pound that stuff! The S&R guys showed us a great canyon to pound home! that was the highlight of the trip. Helluva side hill huh? Ghost riders in the creek! Keep your eyes on the road!

If ya see some pink survey tape STAY AWAY!

Looked like some guys were enjoying ridding doubles hey Kev! Can that sled carry 3? :rose: Good to meet you all and hope to ride again. Great group of guys. Even a bad situation was not to bad with you all around. :beer;:beer;

Just pulled up my cookie crumb trail from today and we were right near you guys. Riding the ridge between the Iron Mine creek and Iron Mine lake, started going to the creek, looked at the GPS and dropped down into the Lake instead. Still awaiting Lat/Long to confirm and the story on how you guys got out, looks nasty on the topo. Just follow the creek back out?

Glad everyone got home in one piece, could have ended alot worse than it did.

Spense, I'll follow you. I've been known to lead a few groups into the wrong situation before.

There is a ravine in Cooke that is called the Ravine from Hell that I might have had a hand in finding.

"funding" could be a real problem, for the helicopter that flew 5 of our friends home last night. Word on the street we could be loosing both of the B2's the DPS has. (one of them flew you all home last night) could have been a long cold night?!? I know you are not the only people "saved" by having these ships available, could be time to look into seeing what the public can do to ensure these helicopters are around in the future to ensure our safety.

I have had a difficult time understanding how the state has squandered the large surplus they have had over the past few years!!?? I am ready and willing to petition the legislature to ensure these birds are able to keep flying and saving lives. Thanks to them for bringing our friends home safely last night!
