Big trouble today - help needed!!!!

Something like this will ruin a good day immediately. Sorry to hear guys. I wish I was able to lend a hand, but I'm tied up at work all weekend (hence my delayed response). Good luck. If you need help on Monday or Tuesday, let me know. I am off those two days.

Any Word

Any word yet on the rescue? Has any body heard if they were successful? I'm free tomorrow if things don't work themselves out today. Let me know

Damn - what a mess! Just got back from Island Park. Hope that by now, everyone is safe, sleds rescued and nothing a few crowns and a few good nights sleep won't take care of. Please report ASAP. Saying prayers and thinking good thoughts until an "all safe, mission completed" confirmation.

Just got a text from SH and all it said was "We're out safe".:beer;:beer; So that is good news. Now I just need details...

Wo! Just read...let me know if there is anything we can do to help you guys out. I know it's for real when that class of guys get bound up. Carefull all and will be waiting for an update. Let us know if you guys need some extra guys tomarrow.

What an uncoordinated sh!t show!!!

edit: Hope the sleds are off the mountain? Not a good day for at least 2 of us!

well now!!!!!!

WE and the sleds are all off the mountain. what a day. a hard day!!! BIG hats off to Brent, gary and Don from Summit Co. search and rescue for leading us in, knowing the where's and what's and helping us get out on their days off.

Ron and Hector saved our bacon. It would not have happened w/o you two.

.... for the record. Every rider was on a sled, 10 peeps doubled up. and someone blew up the wrong road while the group headed where they planned to go. The 2 ups lost the Turbos somehow and even with a wait at the top, never saw them again.

We all felt bad that Kim rallied the troops last night and then missed the event. you and Pete and your riding skills were needed too. your efforts are appreciated. as smooth as the operation went it would have been better w/you two there.

Good to hear the news.:D Happy that everyone is safe and sound. :beer; I was feeling bad that I missed the ride. Although I would have been at the back with Chief. :D Did you guys have radios to communicate with Chief?
Note to self: Don't ever follow Spencer.

My M had 0 miles on it after a lot of work. The control box was all out of whack! I ripped up Mirror Lake Highway about 1/4 mile while everyone was getting ready to try to dial it in! When we got back, taking only about 5 min., the whole group was gone! I sent Pete ahead to catch the group, while I switched sleds, as the M wasn't even close, and I didn't want to mess with it all day.

Long story short from this end.....we rode hard and fast, criss crossing everywhere....for 2 solid hours! We asked at least 12 people if they had seen our group. Nobody seemed to have waited for us, and it was unfortunate.

Glad the sleds are out and everyone is safe!

Enjoy the Superbowl everyone!

BIG BIG props to Brent and the other two S&R guys, Ron, Hector, Kevco and Kim for rallying the troops. With out all of you it wouldn't have happened! THANK YOU ALL.

Kim, so sorry for the cluster this AM. I can only imagine how frustrated you and Pete must have been.

For the record, this is by far the most physically exhausted I think I have ever been. With out the help of others today there is NO way we would have been able to get the sleds off the hill.

I would also like to thank the S&R pilot that flew us out last night! One cool dude! The only thing they asked was that we write our local legislature and beg them not to cut the funding for the helicopters. My email is in the mail and I would ask that anyone reading this take a few minutes to do the same. Trust me you NEVER know when it might be you that needs a lift.

Time for a drink! :beer;

Boys, I feel like crap for bailing on you all today. Could hardly move this morning.

Happy as (can't type that here) that you got the sleds out and no one is hurt.

Spence doesn't get last place.. I ride herd for this very reason.. Spence gets a place in the middle where we can keep track of him.

Chief

Good to here you all got out safe. Props to all those who helped. Sorry I couldn't be there costco has been slow.

tHE lost kid tags must be outta date. ;) IT sucked to not know where Kim and Pete were too. Checked the grocery store for your pictures on the milk carton too.

last night Kim went on a text and call rampage and got us much needed help. Thank you. That had 'almost' as much value as riding my damn sled out for me today. I can't even move. But i did discover that I like snowshoes. :)

Talked to Pete. haven't found Kim. Their efforts are appreciated. I'll get a flashing light for my helmet.

I will NEVER be in a bind like that again, Spenser has lost leading priviledges for life. LOL.

Thank-you to everyone. Ron, Hector, Kevco, S&R guys. You guys are frakkin awesome. Kim, Pete thanks for your efforts, in-spite of the **** show.

Doug, thanks for getting our a$$es up there this morning, I was not in the mood to do that today, but damn happy to have it over with.

Kyle & Andres (sp?) you guys rule. Thanks for keeping spirits up yesterday, your attitudes made a bad situation much more tolerable.

Mostly, like to thank the pilot that got us out of there last night, so I could kiss my kids and sleep (tried anyway) in a warm bed.
